A new world. A new beginning. When you were offered to become a god of a new world by the cosmic creators, you were skeptical. But when you were given the power, you knew without a doubt, this world would be yours to claim.
Except that wasn’t the case. You weren’t alone in this world. Coming in with you were several other gods, joining together to create a pantheon of gods. At first, you weren’t happy about this. But then you realized that you’d be stronger together-and once you were the strongest, you could get rid of your fellow gods.
Now you have been dropped into a barren land filled with water, dirt, and stone, with no living beings-yet. You have the power to do many things-almost anything, within the range of your world. You can choose any stat block, homebrew your own stat block, and make yourself as powerful as you want. You can create life, destroy life, but you cannot influence it, and you cannot create other gods. Gods may only be appointed by the cosmic creators, the mysterious ones who rule over the multiverse. But you can create lesser beings, and you as players can play as those beings.
Your characters may be from anywhere you’d like, although for this thread, I’ll only be allowing OCs. For some reason, they were offered power by the cosmic creators. The characters must create a thriving world together.
I and the other moderators will control the regular people who you choose not to play, and gods may not influence the minds of humans unless using a charming spell, and this cannot be permanent. Gods must bend people to their will in displays of raw power or persuasion.
So universe smorgasboard but ypu have to work together? Sounds cosmere-ish
if i was the creator i’d add that every god can only do one thing so they have an incentive to work together, because if they want to create a species they’ll need to work with another god to make it, giving them a reason to do so (shut up sel), or theres a bigger threat/problem that the gods need to solve together, giving them an incentive to work together
