Bad thread idea:
World where magic is a big part of life. Wars are fought with magic. Society is run by those with great skill in magic. Even your bread may be baked with magic. Magic thats alive, that is. Can only really be used by certain people (called magicians) who tame creatures formed of magic, called Magiks (so thats magicians doing magic using Magiks, with a capital M and a K in place of C). Who have their own unique challenges. You beat the whatever trial they give you, and you learn their true name, which you can use to bind them to you. Of course, we can’t have people running around trying to grab a giant living wildfire because the want to warm their house a little. So, in order to teach magicians while they’re still youngish and impressionable, various magical schools, universities and other institutions of learning were developed. One of these such schools, for when a non magician would be in high school, is the Arcadia Thaumatugaical Institute for Wonderworkers (stupid magicians and their stupid long names for simple things. I swear Im gonna convince the committee to change the name) or just ATI for short, like a sensible person. Both teaching students how to master the magic they naturally possess, and sending them out to tame Magiks, for the sake of gaining more confidence and experience
