A loud clanking noise echoes from the chamber. Steel and wood groans, and two massive red points of light descend into visibility in the darkness.

  

 

Tide screams. A vortex of storm magic surrounds him.

 

The lights turn a faint blue, but become far brighter. A fifty-foot-tall, very round, beetle-like construct composed of various bronze gears, iron chains, and wood beams. It has broad, stocky legs, and long, spindly arms. It smiles at you. 

“ H e l l o . ”

 

“Uh, is that smile friendly or mean? I’m Tide. I was caught exploring. What’s wrong with exploring? Well, I really hope you’re friendly cause I have a family and my brothers a crybaby and a wimp so I need to look after him…. What am I doing rambling? I have storm magic! I can defeat you!”

“ I n c o r r e c t   s t a t e m e n t . ”

A whirring and crackling noise comes from the automaton.

“ P y r r h i c   a c h i e v e m e n t . ”

 

 

“Please don’t kill me! I DONT WANNA DIE!”

The construct’s eyes turn a slightly darker shade of blue. 

“I am Soult. Is it noon?”

 

“I don’t know… I don’t bother to keep track of time. Why?”

“When it is noon I eat. Is it noon? The Man usually tells me.” Soult tilts its head, laying a hand against the edge of the tunnel into its chamber.

“ARE YOU GONNA EAT ME?”

“Yes, as long as it is noon.”

 *a clock chimes in the distance. Twelve times. It is noon*

*by noon soult just refers to when it eats. not actual noon. it doesn’t understand time.*

 *ah okay.*

“It’s noon, Soult!” DeMal yells through the door.

 

*bro i wanted them to be friends but okay*

 *okay sorry ignore that post then. There is a loud crash and Soult cant make out what was yelled*

*no it’s fine i’ll just go as normal, also i don’t think banan are still on*

a girl walks in. She has dark brown skin and crimson hair. She wears a blouse that reveals her shoulders, covered in golden swirls and tattoos. There is an opening in the swirls that reveals a golden lily tattoo on her left shoulder. She has dark red eyes that near brown and golden dots underneath her eyes. She wears clothing of reds and oranges, fiery colors that appear to dance. She has a dangling golden lily on her right ear and two piercings on her left ear, high above the normal piercing sport, matching golden rings. Her lips are dusted with gold and she sports a haughty smile, like she knows that she is meant to be here. Her name is Fyra Lèlie, and unlike the other Lèlie’s with magic relating to flora, she controls fire.

 In the entering hallway, peony is reading. When she sees Fyra, subtly but terrified, she pulls her hat over her eyes and sits on her right hand.

 *haughty French people now!!!*

Fyra notices Peony. “Hello there, cousin.”

 "Allo" she says timidly, putting the book down

 “How are you?” She asks, sickeningly sweet. *also jester this is one of the chars that slick would hate*

 "Je vais bien, et toi ?" she slips into french when nervous

 “Im great. It has been a while since we’ve last seen each other. Really too bad dont you think?”

 "Oh..." it hits her. "You were there at the meeting when I..."
