Peony is sitting outside reading a book about fish
Walking up to her is the new kid. He wears a black buttoned up jacket and blue jeans. He wears combat boots and has short and messy brown hair and bright green eyes. He looks around the place slightly impressed as he shoves his hands in his pockets. "Yo!"
"Uh, hi?" she looks up shyly from her book. She's a slight girl with short fluffy red hair. A bone-white design of a lily adorns her hand, contrasting against her dark skin.
"Thats a cool design on your hand." he says kindly, a small smile on his face.
"it's a family thing" she says nervously, subconsciously hiding it
"oh! Like a family crest?" he asks.
"Yeah."
"Why hide it? That should be something to be proud of." he shows off his left palm where the silhouette of a wolf is.
"It's complicated."
He sits across from her. "Do you mind explaining it?"
"It's not my favorite subject, but sure. My family, the Lelies *french for lily but I forgot the proper spelling ages ago* are notorious for drama regarding standards and dichotomies going back to the French Revolution. Back then, the Patriarch of the family took it into his own hands to separate the proverbial sheep from the goats, banishing members associated with the revolutionaries. Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Awake, impure, divine
James is suddenly leaning against the wall next to them, his arms crossed and his usual grin on his face “Hello there handsome. I see you are a criminal.”
The obese gold half-dragon looks up. "It's a victimless crime, so not quite criminal..." he holds up a single claw. "...yet. What's your name?"
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Awake, impure, divine
The Tiefling raises a brow “It wouldn’t be a crime if it was victimless, wouldn’t it? I don’t remember you providing your name, and it’s basic manners for the shop owner to introduce themselves first.”
He shrugs. "Fair enough, though you shouldn't expect such rules to apply to criminals, as you would say. Greascure Denarius. Fan of pickles, fair food, and black market deals. Well, not real ones, I'm not old enough for that yet. They wouldn't take me seriously. Plus, I've been drafted to Black Magic Central here without my consent, and the black market isn't as easy to find here. But any free society requires a thriving black market!"
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.
Awake, impure, divine
“James Kereso, pleasure. Fan of anything pretty… like you for example. Fan of crime as much as the next criminal too.” He grins.
"don't be"
