in a flash of light, you appear in the infirmary, and you are in a bed "very lucky placement. If you ended up on the floor I would of had to operate on you there."

 "...Operate?"

 "Yes. you said this can't be fixed by magic, right?"

 “They’ll heal on their own.”

 "doesn't matter." he pulls out his bad news

 “…Why the hell do you have a gun…?”

 "Don't worry about it." he chambers a bullet

 Rain looks very confused. He struggles to his feet. “Don’t shoot me.”

 he pulls a diamond from is pocket "you wanna live or not?"  

 Rain can’t do anything to stop him at this point. He can barely move.

 "Ok if I kill you then bring you back it'll close all your wounds and stuff. Understand?"

Rain sways a little, then nods.

Merci raises his arms wide. He takes a deep breath and his eyes start to bleed. A mass of knives in an insane amount appears around the tree. More knives than he's ever summoned. They all spark and suddenly light on fire.

About 150 feet away, Rain sets down Lify and brushes her clothes off, then he rips his shirt off, plants his foot, and kicks off at near the speed of sound. He reaches the hellhound in an instant, then Merci in another. Just as Merci is about to plunge each and every knife into the tree, Rain's fist meets his face with a loud yell from Rain. Merci is sent flying through the air nearly 120 feet, but Rain kicks off again and catches him by the foot. He follows up his punch by slamming Merci into the ground with all his might.

Merci stands up, heavily injured while Rain breathes heavily. The hellhound has nearly caught them. Merci's eye twitches as the flaming knives all focus on Rain and start to rain down on him. Rain is able to deflect or dodge about half of them, but ultimately he falls to his knees, covered in hundreds of flaming and burning knife wounds. As Merci raises his fingers to snap and finish Rain, the hellhound leaps behind him and snaps one of it's jaws around his hand, removing his only hand entirely.

Merci stares in shock at his hand before...screaming. Horribly. Rain somehow struggles to his feet. He takes a moment to work up the energy, but eventually he tackles Merci and starts to give him the most relentless beat down you've ever seen. Each punch ruffles the leaves of the trees around the two. Rain punches Merci for several minutes after he's already dead.

Rain slowly raises back up. His blood-stained arms hang limply at his side while he struggles to stay alive and conscious. Merci is very dead.
