You see a young peony, happy and carefree, long hair braided down her back, wandering through a muddy brook and coming back home dirty, barefoot, and grinning. Her parent's don't take kindly to this. The Lelies are a very prestigious family, and it was unseemly what she did. She was severely punished that day, and sent away to her respectable relatives' estate to learn how to act like a Lelie. You see years of disappointment and inadequacy in the eyes of her family. The elders of the family met to determine the next course of action. Peony was a disgrace, but she was talented enough not to be thrown away. Finally, you see peony's family sending her off to the academy, dressed like the promising Lelie that they know she'll never be.
