The Lelies.
The Lelies are a very respectable magic family based in France. They tend to place a high value on looks, physical presentation, and proper conduct. They have a code of conduct called les édits des lys, detailing what is proper and improper for any member of the family. A concept that they uphold is that some family members are a disgrace, and must be marked by the white lily. If this person is a girl, they must cut their hair short, as short hair is unseemly among the Lelie family. It is easy to tell an outcast from any other member, and that is the point. Several of the white lilies have been sent to vanderbilt, in morbid hopes that they disappear.

*That's awesome! The Feuersteins have a pretty chequered history, though they're pretty wealthy now. Some of them were outcasts, and quite a few of them used their gifts for nefarious purposes*
