Me personally, I’m a sucker for Anasi stories. Something I find interesting, is that if you ask just about any West African, they’ll pretty much tell you the same stories. The same basic stories, all up and down the West African coast
You should read Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman then. It's fantastic.
Hmmm. What’s it about?
It's a story about stories, which is fitting because it revolves around Anansi, the god of stories. Two brothers, one magical, charming, and charismatic, the other... much less so, find out their Dad, Anansi, died and their lives spin out of control. They mess with African gods, stir up evil spirits, and learn how to karaoke. Gaiman's a great writer but I should probably warn you that it is geared towards an adult audience.

Kinda reminds of Tristan Strong. I might read it once I cut down my to read list.

i know the most about Greek and Roman but I love Norse, Egyptian and a few others
Very important question that will affect my opinion of you
Greek or Roman mythology?
Norse and Egyptian are cool. Also Celtic and Mayan. And Japanese and Chinese.
I love both but i like Greek a bit more then Roman
Norse, Egyptian, Roman, Celtic, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, you might aswell just say, “all mythology’s cool.”
My sweet summer child. Those are just the popular ones. Aztec, Native American folk tales, Indian, Aboriginal folk tales, Slavic and so many more different kinds of stories exist. Heck, major religions technically fall under the category of a mythology, as they are a collection of cultural stories, usually having some meaning behind as to why things are the way that they are and such.
I want to have at least some basic knowledge of most mythologies, it'll take a while but ill get there
I would love that. I know the most about Greek because there is just a lot of stuff out there about it, but it would be really cool to know stuff about all the different mythologies. Also Iceland has some cool stories, although I don’t know much about them. German does too. Also, all mythology is cool, I was just listing the ones I know the most about. Greek is probably my favorite, but Japanese and Chinese have the best monsters, besides Scylla and the Hydras.

The Volsunga Saga and the Nibelungenlied are great examples of Scandinavian and German sagas respectively. Iceland also has something called Eddas which are kind of like sagas, but I’ve never read them.

Yes. Exactly. Also the Elder Edda and the Younger Edda and the Poetic and Prose Eddas. But I haven’t read any of the Eddas, even in mythology books like I have with the Volsunga Saga and the Nibelungenlied (these are two versions of the Norse story of Sigurd/Siegfried), so I don’t know what they’re about.
