One from each will rise. A knight who fights with mind and body, a scholar who thinks with fists and feet, a theif who steals soul and spirit, a hunter who stalks stone and mud, a hero lost and forgotten.
In the olden days only the land of humans, glytoria, and the land of elves, canneth, existed. Then the dwarves came from the speckled mountains in the north, building their underground cities of shovel. They brought with them their machines. Through magic and science the machines began to grow, becoming sentient. They washed war with their leader, the proginators, for independence. In the end, they won, creating the cities of sinahcem. Then the great goddess Serra decided that all races needed to live free and created the floating land named in her honor for the tainted. Then she disappeared. Many prophecies state her return, will either be the beginning of a new era, or the end of all existence.
Canneth: the six races of elf live here, light and dark (both high), wood, flame, water, and wind. There was a seventh, the shade elves, but they are considered extinct. Light elves make up a small amount of the elves in canneth, but are considered the leaders of them all, the king being a light elf. Dark elves come as a close second and are a little more numerous than light, the queen is a dark elf. Wood elves make up the majority of the population, being scouts and assassins, the kings messenger is a wood elf. Flame elves are the strongest and second most numerous of canneth, the kings guard is a flame elf. Water elves are second least numerous of canneth they love to explore and travel far across the starlight sea, searching, the kings ambassador is a water elf. Wind elves are the least numerous and least understood of the elves of canneth, the kings vizier is a wind elf. The great Serra was a shade elf, the last in existence, it was said they were the most beautiful of all elves and were slaughtered in envy.
Glytoria: the home of humans, HobGoblins, orcs, and ogres. They live in shaky peace. Humans stand as the leaders of this great kingdom. Hobgoblins work as generals and officers, while orcs act as elite guards and soldiers. Ogres are battering rams and strong men.
Shovel: the home of mountain dwarves, gnomes, hill dwarves, goblins, and halflings. The mountain dwarves in this land are known as overlords and they lead the other races. Gnomes just below them are the overseers and they are the history keepers and scribes of shovel. Hill dwarves are know as miners and they do that well. Goblins are the tinkers and toy makers just beneath miners. Halflings, known as short-men, make up the lowest race if the shovel empire, slaves, servants, and beggars.
Sinahcem: the land of machines. No machine can actually weild the magic inside itself, only hope that it stays alive for longer than a few years and allows them to create a successor. The minds lead the massive city, the swords keep them safe, the tools build the city up, and the broken find their own place in society.
Serra: the land of the tainted. Half human or other race, half animal or something else. The strongest race are the wing-bloods and their insane leader serrafeem who believes he is descended from the great Serra. The next most powerful is the canid-bloods led by the fierce miles fang a fighter who loves his people. Then the feline-bloods led by shady serrington the panther girl who kills kings. The crawler-bloods take up third place, led by the cunning Sarah spider her webs are wide and numerous. Scale-bloods are next with their terrifying leader salamander asbekon. Last and definitely least is the horn-bloods with their upbeat leader Terry the satyr boy. The tainted mostly keep to themselves warring with each other over the floating island, only the horn-bloods regularly deal with the "grounded people."
Magic: five forms of magic exist. Arcane, druidic, holy, spirit, and necromancy.
Arcane: uses the weilders own energy to cast. Used by wizards and sorcerers. They usually store their energy in something they call a focus, then release the energy In slow burst over time.
Druidic: uses the natural power of the earth to fuel spells. Used by druids and rangers. It takes many years and patient training to learn the language of nature, only elves and dwarves live long enough but dwarves don't have the patience.
Holy: uses the weilders own life force, often confused with arcane. Used by clerics and paladins. They focus their energy and just believe and things happen, they trust that whatever their doing is good and it will be.
Spirit: not actually magic, but considered for ease of reading. Monks call it ki, barbarians call it fury. Same thing for both, different effect.
Necromancy: uses the energy of other living beings to cast spells. Used by warlocks and blood hunters. Banned universally except in Serra. When used it drains the weilder of will and sanity, slowly turning them into a rotting person filled with insane ideas. Most necromancers hide themselves in the dead dreary forest, wandering and muttering.
Other lands: to the north of canneth is the speckled mountains, and past them the frozen wastes. To the east of glytoria is the sand- glass desert that stretches for miles. To the west of sinahcem is the dead-dreary forest. And on the opposite side the starlight sea, with portal island at its center.
gods: in this world there are no gods, no heaven or hell. instead people rise up to almost divine status as they gain great power and followers.
planes: there are two plains beside the plain of ferro. the mirror plain, wich is basically a copy of ferro but with strange beings. and the memory plane, a plane where hopes dreams and all mental thoughts exist.
Elves: for wisdom and cunning.
Men: for knowledge and power.
Dwarves: for faith and courage.
Machines: for peace and rage.
Tainted: for fear and chaos.

(I guess since I'm still here, I'll start this off)
Suddenly the ground around glytoria grows a bright red color. People look up to see a red light streak across the sky.
"A fallen star" someone mutters. "They've been coming more frequently"
"It's the end of you ask me." Says another.
An elf steps up to them "no. Not yet. The prophecies state a few more week. And then five warriors must rise."
A dwarf harrumphs "and what would you know of it pointy ears?"
A machine says in its wurring voice "he is right. Though the prophecies have been known for their" he hesitates "unpredictable nature"
The elf nods
Then all returns to normal as the star lands with a cracka-boom in the glass-sand desert.
