“Thats sad… I know how it is to be abandoned by people. When did it happen?”
"many many years ago. i don't remember that time very well"
“Oh. Well, where did you come from?” They say, having forgotten about the whole Jason thing for now.
she looks around, scanning the surroundings "i am... i'm..." she seems lost for words as she sits on lonelys shoulder.
“You aren’t sure? Great.”
she shakes her head. then flaps her largish wings to lift off and survey from the sky. leaving you alone with hemy.
Lonely sits back down next to Hemy, checking in on him to make sure he’s doing okay.
as soon as you touch him he jolts upright and scrambles to the opposite side of the fire. then curls up with his knees and watches fearfully.
“Hey… I’m just checking if you’re okay… are you okay?”
the boy looks up and nods slightly.
“If you need a place to stay, I can bring you to this magic demiplane thing… sorry, Nevermind. This place is still kinda dangerous, so just try to avoid any big, scary creature.” They seem a mixture of just sad and guilty when they mention Jason’s demiplane.
the boy tilts his head.
“Sorry… hey, Lizard, you have a telepathic bond or something with them?” They yell up to them.

"When at first you don't succeed. Try and try again" Story of my life.
Nicknamed 'doppleganger' by AnnoyedCecealia. given title: that guy! by drummer. lol XD
wishing to live. whispering wind. falling through sky. knowing i died. falling. dying... slowly......
“F-Fine…” he says, as if he was in pain with saying it, almost wimpering. The portal between the court room and Nessus closes as they say that.
He begins to fly close to the fiend "Lead me to by grandfather."
“I don’t know where he is! Only the people transporting him would know about that… for security reasons.”
He sighs and flies to where the portal was, he grabs at reality once more "Grandfather, give me strength." He then pulls with all his might. Athletics:52
Easily, he tears the whole through reality, leading directly to the flaming hellscape that is outside Abaddon’s courthouse. But it seems that Nessus’ reality weaving is stronger than the demiplane, so the whole is a bit smaller, not a problem though.
the Pit fiend, still hovering there, is freaking out.
He looks back to the fiend and he sighs, his voice much softer than before "Come with me if you want to live. I will keep you safe if you fight alongside me." He then walks through the hole, waiting a bit to see if the fiend follows after him. *Man, Rag needs a romantic interest, be needs someone to hold him right now. I'll figure that out after he finishes his mission impossible.*
“Abaddon… he’ll kill me… I committed a crime and he’ll have my head…” they say, violently shaking.
*that’ll be fun, he has tons of trauma he needs to get through*
“I’ll kill Abaddon before he can kill you. So don’t worry about that. Let’s get moving.” He pats him, a calming gesture and hands him his holy defender greatsword. *All at once too, in one day he lost his son and his grandfather. Along with all the other stuff.* he begins moving to the next spot he can tear space.
He warily takes the sword and follows him.
(wait, so does he go through Abaddon’s courtroom of fire or stay in Nessus to tear through space? Also this is an awesome power Ragnerious randomly gets and I’m here for it)
*I thought he was in the fire realm again.* he begins moving around looking for someone that knows where his grandfather is. *I love how he just got this out of nowhere from sheer determination.*
*sorry, I thought he had stopped going through to talk to the pit fiend and then went through the portal or just stayed in Nessus*
the Pit Fiend follows him through the fiery outdoors of the courthouse dimension, lightly harmed by the flames but not caring much. Rag takes 11 (hell)fire damage. Based on the pit fiend’s knowledge, the only people who would know where his Grandfather is would be the two guards who brought him to the trench, Astaroth, and Abaddon.
He goes where he’s pretty sure the rest of the dimension would be “This spot should be good, watch this. Thank you for your help.” He grabs at the air and a cracking noise sounds throughout the area. Athletics:50

Ragnaris, who is still falling, checks to make sure there are no other demons trying to catch the cage.
Perception: 42
There are hundreds, from all sides of the miles wide chasm, diving towards them at breakneck speeds. Some are catching up, no longer afraid of him. Or just more afraid of the devil living in the spire right over there.
(If he uses his Flame Breath, about how many would he hit?)
Flame Breath recharge: 4
*at least a quarter of them, probably. But there are a looooot of them, around 10 percent being pit fiends*
He casts maddening darkness, and centers it where the demons are grouped closest together. Any of them within a 60 foot sphere must succeed on a DC 30 Wis save or take 43 psychic damage.
(I know the demons have Devil's Sight, but it's a big AoE spell that deals some decent damage.)
Many of the devils perish or fall from the sky, before catching themselves on the rocks or with their wings. Others, like bone and horned devils, dive out of the darkness. (None of the devils here can make that save.
The others dive towards the cage, and some are emerging from caves below to catch the cage as well.
Flame Breath recharge: 3
He then casts circle of death on the next largest group. Any of them in a 60 foot sphere take 23 necrotic damage. DC 30 Con save for half.
Same thing happens, many fall out of the sky.
Ragnaris can feel some sort of dark presence emerging from the spire. Powerful, dangerous, and very monstrous. It looks out of a window Rag doesn’t think was there before and watches the fight. He can’t tell what it is.
Flame Breath recharge: 2
Ragnaris eyes it for a split second, then returns to his current task. (Would it be possible for him to dimension door the cage 500 feet back up to buy some more time? The description says 'you can bring along objects as long as their weight doesn't exceed what you can carry', and I think as a Gargantuan creature he should be able to carry the cage.) He casts synaptic static in the next largest group. Any creature within a 20 foot sphere takes 29 psychic damage, and has muddled thoughs. DC 30 Int save for half damage and no muddled thoughs.
(Yeah, you can dimension door it)
the figure waves a shadowy hand as they watch Ragnaris cast the spell, counterspelling it with ease. Let’s play a game, here. The devil horde needs to take one more minute before catching Ragnaris (Ten rounds) and it has, say, 500 hitpoints before it disperses to a point they can’t lift the cage anymore. So you have to get rid of it or be caught, with that shadowy figure helping the horde.
(The Flame Breath recharge was a 5 before so I'll take that.)
Ragnaris narrows his eyes at the shadowy figure. He then uses a legendary action to use Arcane Spear on the horde, which takes 12 multiplied by 10 force damage.
His scales then begin to glow red hot. Any creatures with 15 of him automatically take 61 fire damage (ignores immunity and resistance).
And to finish up, he use his Flame Breath to cause any creatures in a 300 foot cone to take 117 fire damage (ignores immunity and resistance). DC 28 Dex save for half.
(Here's the post with the fixed rolls.)

He goes where he’s pretty sure the rest of the dimension would be “This spot should be good, watch this. Thank you for your help.” He grabs at the air and a cracking noise sounds throughout the area. Athletics:50
“Oh, yeah… sorry. I-just… something happened-and I can’t bring you there. He doesn’t want me there anymore.”

"I don't know, sheer strength and will? I don't really cast spells." He walks through the tear and looks around.

The devil horde is extremely injured, hundreds falling from the sky and many others fleeing. They get closer in greater numbers. (They automatically fail saves)
the shadowy figure holds out their hand to the dark glass of the window, and echoes of ancient, unseeable power rebound throughout the chasm as they cast what is basically a heal spell, summoning hundreds more devils all around them and healing 100 hitpoints.
*night!*
“Wow…” the tear leads back through to the area of the dome. The pit fiend follows.
"Abaddon will come for me. I need you to go inform him I escaped." He tosses him a bag of holding "Hide the sword in there."

He does so.
”he might know that I helped you… my contract with him is magic, maybe he know that I broke it?… if he learns I let you escape I would die… maybe. I’ll try…”

Ragnaris growls at the figure, then uses Arcane Spear again. The horde takes 13 multiplied by 10 force damage. He then casts spirit of death at the 9th level. (Will use counterspell if the figure attempts to counterspell this action.)
His scales again begin to glow, and any creature within 15 feet of him takes 78 fire damage (ignores immunity and resistance).
The spirit he conjured appears in the middle of the horde and makes four attacks with its scythe against it.
Attack #1: 24
Damage: 13 necrotic
Attack #2: 24
Damage: 13
Attack #3: 33
Damage: 29
Attack #4: 31

"You didn't help me at all. You didn't do anything except follow where I went. If things begin turning sour use that sword, it'll help you alot." He sits down "You could just lead me back to Abaddon's office too, it's safer for you."

“Well… not stopping you counts as aiding you in the eyes of the law here. But why on the River Styx would you need to go to Abaddon’s office?”
All attacks hit, dealing considerable damage to the horde. They descend closer.
the figure does not counterspell, figuring he knows her game. Instead, she casts an antimagic field around the cage.
"Because I want Abaddon dead, or at least I want my grandfather back. Either way you said either Abaddon or his boyfriend know where my grandfather is."
