Leonard is talking to a small leatherbound black book in hushed tones, but the book seems to be yelling most unkindly at him.
Lonely, a small teenage human with dark skin, curly brown hair, and bright yellow eyes, is watching him talk from a distance, confused. They wear a yellow sweater.
Leonard puts one hand to his forehead. "No, Cleo, I get that, but there's a ton of people inside. There's a guy with a spear and a gross worm, a dog, and even another demon! It's-"
"YOU HAVE YOUR INSTRUCTIONS. MAKE YOUR OFFERING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I CARE NOT HOW YOU OBTAIN IT. THIS CONVERSATION TIRES ME."
The book slams shut. Leonard sighs. "Gotta love that guy. Okay, I need a plan, and quick."
Lonely walks up.
”Hi… what does that book-thingy want you to do?”
Leonard turns around quickly. "My dear being, this book is not truly sentient. You can merely write a task you want yourself to accomplish in it, and it will yell at you until you're done. I just wrote it so that mine sounds like a fiendish overlord, because that's what I fear most. I'm actually selling copies. Would you like one?" He whips out a second book.
“Oh… weird book. No thanks, but what did you want to make an offering to?”
"I'm not making an actual offering. I just need to make some money so I can actually pay my bills."

I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
A large, fluffy humanoid makes his way into the dome. He wears a heavy leather apron and a large, pumpkin-shaped helmet, concerningly cracked around the lower center, revealing glittering white teeth set into a face otherwise entombed in metal and shrouded in darkness. His huge, ferret-human body doesn't seem to be weighed down by his massive backpack and absurdly long sword, which seems to have sausages and cuts of meat stabbed onto it and cooking on their own.
He begins to sing as he walks through the scenery, not even looking around. An animated clay ferret the size of a fox runs up beside him, "singing" along with him by chittering.
"I'm growing old, A thousand years; I've labored all my life in vain: In all that time of hopes and fears I've failed my dearest wish to gain. I see full well that here below Bliss unalloyed there is for none. My prayer will ne'er fulfillment know I never have seen Carcassonne!"

Jason is passing out invitations to his barbecue in the most dramatic way he can think of, the invitations fluttering down from the sky on top of celestial butterflies the color of Jason’s eyes.
