Popping into existence as reality fizzles and pops around the center of the dome, is a young man with silky, short black hair, all frazzled and messy as if they had just been in a rainstorm, and warm brown eyes. With a white lab coat over leather clothes fitting for some sort of tinkerer, and with thick brown gloves, the only skin showing is around his face and neck, covered with soot and extremely pale. Around his chest is a satchel, brimming with many sorts of devices and notes and unlabeled alchemical brews. On the satchel’s stap going over his opposite shoulder, three separate watches are hung on metallic chains. One is made of white marble, the other a dark oak wood, and the third some sort of black stone or gem. They all tick at different times, and he’s clutching the oak one with one of his hands.
he falls over and vomits, before quickly getting back up, wiping his mouth and looking around.
*Cut* ”Dont lie, I may not be a master warrior but I can see when something isn’t normal.”
Mm, yes. I am indeed not normal. I do love when that trick works though.
“That sounds like it’s fun. I’ll try and convince the family to stop letting the child do stupid things.”
give me some examples of what he’s done. I’d like to know of his stupidity. Knowledge is a weapon that cuts deep.
“I’m not going to tell you, he’s still family after all. You could probably make him tell you himself though.” He bid the duck farewell and leaves.
The duck follows them from the sky for a while before turning back to find the nephew.
The nephew is on his horse, traveling back to his home with his escorts.
It swoops down, lightly pecking him on the head. Not one of it’s death pecks that could kill any normal person instantly though, just a normal peck.
He tries to send it away, not realizing it’s the doom duck. One of the soldiers pokes it with a spear as an attempt to get it to leave.
It dodges out of the way of the spear, and honks at the nephew’s horse, trying to frighten i. Intimidation: 34
The nephew falls off the horse as it darts away, the escorts taking a few steps back as well.
It lands and charges at the escorts, honking and quacking madly, fluttering its wings to make itself look bigger.
The escorts run away, except for one who keeps his ground against the duck, thrusting his spear once again.
The Duck hops onto the shaft of the spear and does a peck at the escort’s face.
to hit: 22 damage: 1
The escort is hit but stands firm “I do not fear a duck!” He shouts thrusting the spear but missing every time.
It strikes again, this time with a bit more force. This damage won’t reduce them below 1 hitpoint.
31 damage: 11 bludgeoning
The strike tears through the armor of the escort, knocking them to the ground. The refuse to give up, under their helmet is a relatively young man. “I need this money, so go away duck.”
