Ragnaris notices that the window is gone, and stops abruptly when he realizes he's still being watched. He looks around, trying to see any danger.
Perception: 29
He sees, on a ledge of the nearby wall, the figure watching them. They’re about the size of an average human and have skin decorated with starry, swirling patterns, not actual stars but quite close, in the shape of glowing tattoos. Their actual skin is a charcoal black, and their horned face is covered by a black hood gilded with gold, robes flowing Down around them. Around their waist and connecting their cloak and their hands are decorative chains, resembling interdimensional shackles. The creature smiles, revealing sharp white teeth.
"Who in the Nine Hells are you, and what do you want?", he says as he flaps his wings to keep himself aloft.
“I am the Jailor, and I was planning on keeping you here and preventing you from escaping… but some new information has just come in from Abaddon. You are free to go, your sentence has been lifted. I’ll show you the way out.” they say, smiling a fake smile while staring daggers into Ragnaris’ soul.
"I know Abaddon, and he wouldn't release me unless some sort of deal was made. WHAT DEAL WAS MADE?"
“Legally, that is none of your business. Would you like me to show you to your way out or do you really want to know what was signed?” She says, her infernal tail swishing from side to side in excitement.
"I do not care if it is my business, you are going to TELL ME.", he says as his body begins to glow with immense heat.
Intimidation: 26
“Alright, fine, Jeez… Your Grandson signed away two hundred years of his life to servitude in exchange for your freedom. Quite sweet, it makes me want to puke. Blegh…” they begin to fake throw up, rather dramatically.
"WHAT.", Ragnaris says in disbelief. His scales then begin to glow hotter and hotter, and smoke begins to vent from his nostrils. "TAKE ME TO HIM."
“Mmmmm, Abaddon told me not to. So, I could show you to the exit or you could do something you’re really gonna regret, considering it’ll mean everything your grandson just did would be all for nothing. So, what’ll it be, my big scaly friend?” She says with a happy expression, smiling. With her left hand, she begins drawing strange symbols and runes in the air, infernal words glowing with a bright purple energy.
The air around Ragnaris quickly reaches critical temperature, scorching the walls of the chasm and causing them to slowly liquify into molten rock. "I DON'T CARE WHAT ABADDON SAID. I AM NOT LEAVING WITHOUT RAGNERIOUS."
”well boo-hoo, I’m not gonna let you do that! It’s binding under infernal law, try all you want. You’ll just get Abaddon and his boyfriend mad.”
"Do you even know how close I was to murdering that bastard? Take me to my grandson, or I will kill everyone and everything here, including you."
”fine, you grumpy old Iguana! Just come with me…” they levitate outside of the ravine, making sure Ragnaris follows. Once outside, they draw some runes in the air and she snaps her fingers, and a portal just large enough to fit Ragnaris, leading straight to the courthouse main Hall.
“If Abaddon asks who sent you, tell ‘em it was Debra! Nobody likes Debra anyways, that snake deserves it…”
He narrows his eyes. "Tell me the truth: is this a trap?"
Insight: 12
“Course not! Not my fault if your brains get bashed in by Abaddon or something, I’ll be looking forward to seeing you back down here!” She seems to be telling the truth. She waves goodbye and the portal slowly, slowly starts to close on him. He needs to go in now or it’ll become too small.
He flies through the portal.
He is met with a giant hallway with many doors, most of them closed. The main doors at the end of the hall are open, leading to the courtroom, as are smaller doors, the third on the right side. There is chatter coming from the door on the right side.
He attempts to stealthily walk over to the right side door. (He has tremorsense out to a range of 35 feet, so he can tell how many people are behind the door if they're close enough.)
Stealth: 14
The right door leads to another hallway, and assuming he walks down that he can find that behind the door labeled, “ABADDON, SUPREME ADJUDICATOR,” there are three people, all of around the same height of somewhere between 12-15 feet tall. He can hear Abaddon’s voice.
that stealth isn’t enough, and Abaddon stops talking for a moment.
Ragnaris realizes Abaddon has sensed him, so he casts Raulothim's Psychic Lance Since he can't see Abaddon, he will quietly speak the name of the devil. Abaddon takes 27 psychic damage and becomes incapacitated. DC 30 Int save for half damage and no incapacitation. He then attemps to hide around a corner.
Stealth: 15
Abaddon is seemingly unaffected by the lance. The door opens, and they lumber out, followed by Astaroth. Abaddon is heavily bandaged and bloody, but otherwise is pretty fine.
”Ragnaris, you’re free. Leave my court please, you have no place here. Shoo!” Abaddon turns the corner and sees Ragnaris, sighing.
Ragnaris is obviously upset at being caught and talked to light a young child, but he growls at Abaddon nonetheless. "Release my grandson."

“Was it hard for you to learn necromancy?”
"It did take a bit of time, and Necromancy can be a bit dangerous early on. I was lucky enough to have gathered quite the hoard of magical knowledge and powerful magical items during my living years. Some forms of Necromancy are more challenging than others too. Shadow magic, resurrection, soul magic, undead creation and conjuring, life draining magic..."
“Life draining magic?… that sounds kind of evil…”
"It's definitely not pleasant if used simply to harm people, but just like any other power, it can be used in beneficial ways. For example, one of my favorite spells is called "Life Transference". It causes me a bit of harm by draining some of my life force, but then I can use that energy to heal someone else who needs the energy. Since I can regenerate my own life force quickly, it makes me a rather effective, if unconventional healer."

*how art thou?*
The first thing that Abaddon commands them to do is watch the execution of the pit fiend who had helped them, taking place in the Arena. Abaddon had probably learned of the breaking of their contract through magic, and so now Abaddon is about to cut their head off.
Lonely reluctantly goes through the gate, hopeful that Jason might have forgiven them.

Curl up into a little ball and cry, like the weakling you are.” they turn and start limping, slowly, back to their office.
"Weakling? Who is the one who looks to be on death's doorstep?"
”first of all, I am fine! Astaroth has made sure I will recover fully and swiftly. Secondly, I only look at this after killing you in a trial by combat! And your precious Grandson! Now, do you have a legal reason that i should comply to your demands or what?”

“Life draining magic?… that sounds kind of evil…”
Ragnaris is obviously upset at being caught and talked to light a young child, but he growls at Abaddon nonetheless. "Release my grandson."
Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.

“He is doing this to save you, you stupid little roach! Now get out of my court, we both know I’m not threatened by you.”
(Cut for Arch)
"I don't care what he is doing it for, I am commanding you to release him. If you do so, I will serve my punishment as I was intended to. I have already lived for thousands years, but I will not leave this place knowing that I consigned my grandson, the only family I have left, to such a horrible fate. Because we both know you are a horrible, horrible person."
(Ragnaris is a chaotic evil creature who revels in the pain of others, so you have no idea how against his nature this whole storyline is.)

“Wow… that’s actually kind of cool… what else can you use it for?”
”hmmm... no! The only reason he was freed was because he took both of your sentences as he was to original one being put on trial. It doesn’t work the other way around and it never will. I am truly sorry for your loss… wait, no I’m not! This is going to be terrible for the both of you! Ha-Ha-Ha! NOW LEAVE.”
*aaanyways, hiya!*
*Wassup.*
Rag is now is the service of Abaddon, his mind empty as he works and moves. He’s fine right now but if someone were to ask about his mental condition he would break down into tears, he really is in need of someone to care for.
Jason’s gate to his astral kingdom has reopened in the dome, although the aura that usually leaks from it isn’t present at all.
Goku is training, what else would he be doing?
"You're sick. Of all the people I have known, your sense of humor disgusts me. I will not leave without him.", he says as he crouches down, seemingly ready to fight.

*Im fine, how art thou.*
He simply watches, blankfaced. A single tears makes its way out of his eye and hits the ground with a soft splash.
Jason is sitting on a bench, facing away from the gate into the kingdom, silently sitting.
”I don’t think you ever experienced it yourself, but again, you cannot physically harm me unless we both agree to combat or i attack you first. Have I not gone over this with you? And the trial by combat papers only let you fight during that trial by combat. So unless you have a legitimate legal reason for me to free your grandson, such as him being proved innocent, there is nothing you can do. Oh wait, there is something you can do! In one quick motion, Astaroth beheads the pit fiend who was just screaming for help. From anyone. Abaddon turns to watch Ragnerious, chuckling to himself.
Lonely slowly walks up to them.
”…hi.” They say from a bit behind them.
*i am doing quite wonderfully!*
Rag turns to Abaddon and looks him in the eyes “I can wait 200 years. I won’t forget.” He then turns back to the execution “Now when do I start my job?”
Jason doesn’t turn, cold “Hello Lonely.”
“In a bit… I think I might use you to help capture some… more violent criminals and bring them to my court. Doesn’t that sound so fun?”
Lonely walks a bit closer.
”…h-how are you?” They ask, nervous.
“[gp] you.” He stands up and begins to walk away, going to his living quarters so he can take a nap.
”What do you want Lonely?” He says sounding tired.
”that way you’ll still get to see the people you know that are up there. You’ll be fighting against them of course, but I think you would still enjoy it.” Abaddon says to Rag as he walks away, laughing madly.
”i… wanted to k-know if you were still… mad at me?” They say, leaning on the bench.
