*Wassup.* Rag is now is the service of Abaddon, his mind empty as he works and moves. He’s fine right now but if someone were to ask about his mental condition he would break down into tears, he really is in need of someone to care for.
Jason’s gate to his astral kingdom has reopened in the dome, although the aura that usually leaks from it isn’t present at all.
Goku is training, what else would he be doing?
*how art thou?*
The first thing that Abaddon commands them to do is watch the execution of the pit fiend who had helped them, taking place in the Arena. Abaddon had probably learned of the breaking of their contract through magic, and so now Abaddon is about to cut their head off.
Lonely reluctantly goes through the gate, hopeful that Jason might have forgiven them.
*Im fine, how art thou.*
He simply watches, blankfaced. A single tears makes its way out of his eye and hits the ground with a soft splash.
Jason is sitting on a bench, facing away from the gate into the kingdom, silently sitting.
In one quick motion, Astaroth beheads the pit fiend who was just screaming for help. From anyone. Abaddon turns to watch Ragnerious, chuckling to himself.
Lonely slowly walks up to them.
”…hi.” They say from a bit behind them.
*i am doing quite wonderfully!*
Rag turns to Abaddon and looks him in the eyes “I can wait 200 years. I won’t forget.” He then turns back to the execution “Now when do I start my job?”
Jason doesn’t turn, cold “Hello Lonely.”
“In a bit… I think I might use you to help capture some… more violent criminals and bring them to my court. Doesn’t that sound so fun?”
Lonely walks a bit closer.
”…h-how are you?” They ask, nervous.
“[gp] you.” He stands up and begins to walk away, going to his living quarters so he can take a nap.
”What do you want Lonely?” He says sounding tired.
”that way you’ll still get to see the people you know that are up there. You’ll be fighting against them of course, but I think you would still enjoy it.” Abaddon says to Rag as he walks away, laughing madly.
”i… wanted to k-know if you were still… mad at me?” They say, leaning on the bench.
*Is it me or is Rag starting to resemble Kratos from god of war?* Rag goes to his room, closing the door behind him, he sits on the ground and begins to breathe heavily, his head in his hands.
”Yes, but I won’t hold onto it forever. I care about you Lonely, so don’t lie to me.”

*yeah, kind of*
they hear what seems to be another trial going on, but not a trial by combat. Nobody bothers them.
”…I didn’t lie to you… I just want you to stop being mad for some dumb reason…”
(I know almost nothing about law, so it's kinda hard for me to come up with a legal reason as to why Rag should be set free lol.)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Hi there! My name's Elk. I'm NoiSilverheart's doppelgänger. I'm a demi/grayromantic, socially awkward Okie who may or may not be a pyromaniac. *random confetti blast*
I'm a warlock of the Archcrone, and my patron is TheFriendlyArchfey. I was nicknamed AchatesCervus8337 by VitusW and given the titles "Swashbuckling Scorcher", "The Unpredictable Jedi", "Burning Fury of the Ancients", and "Combustion Knight" by DrummerBoyDragonSlayer.
(I know almost nothing about law, so it's kinda hard for me to come up with a legal reason as to why Rag should be set free lol.)
*alrighty then, I think Abaddon probably knew that too and was just mocking him. But there is nothing stopping Ragnaris (besides the law of course) from barging into Rag’s quarters, taking him, making it past all the guards, and then just flying out. Only thing is that Rag would still be under contract to listen to Abaddon’s commands*

*I mean, Coronet did it with little effort, and I’m quite sure Ragnaris is stronger then her. She was so confident in her abilities to escape she attended your court case after being imprisoned*
*Cut.* After a while Rag comes back out, and begins to walk around the entire court building, looking for an exit to explore the outside.
”STUPID?” He then takes a deep breath “You were celebrating the death of someone. That is something you lied about.”
There’s some sort of courtyard on one side of the courthouse, where there isn’t literally just infinite fire. Instead, it has some sort of infernal garden with wilted plants and foul water running in a fountain, the top of it being a statue of Asmodeus and with the water sprouting from his cane.
”okay, fine… I lied about that. But Jylek was t-terrible! Can you blame me!?”

*yeah, Abaddon isn’t in charge of security, the Jailor is, who Ragnaris met and who is also a lot more incompetent than Abaddon.*

”Yes. I can. No matter how bad he was, he was a kid.”

Eventually, a hurried imp carrying a stack of papers flutters by, pausing.
”are you… new? We haven’t had someone new in years! How did he convince you to join?”
Lonely pauses, taking a few deep breaths. They’re some mixture of guilty, jealous, and angry.
”he was a monster! A cold, h-heartless monster… and I’m happy they died!” They spit out, stuttering and nearly crying.

He shoots out an arm, the palm almost hitting the imp in the throat but he stops himself before he does so “I am Ragnerious. Blackmail and Altruism.”
Jason simply points back to the portal arch, silent as his aura begins to spill out, immense rage within, along with sadness.

”You don’t understand! He nearly killed me!”
“Preaching to the choir.” He chuckles a bit, the laughter full of pain “Is there a sort of barracks for the pit fiends? I want to do something.”
”I’ve died before, multiple times. I understand.” He stands up “There’s a difference between not being sad and being happy.”

Even the food. Several pit fiends are sleeping or playing dice games, but others must be somewhere else around the courthouse or Nessus.

He takes a deep breath before bellowing at every present pit fiend “LINE UP! WE HAVE WORK TO DO!” He then readies himself to train these pit fiends, to do some good for them.

They jump back a bit, a safe distance from Ragnaris.
”ah, sorry ‘bout that. Abaddon is really the worst…”
Lonely takes a few steps back.
“Oh yes, I’ll show you the way. If you get caught, say it was Debra who told you to do it. Nobody likes Debra.” They begin to lead the way to the Pit fiend Barracks, which is a bunch of cheery stone rooms with stone beds, stone tables, and literally everything just made out of stone. Even the food. Several pit fiends are sleeping or playing dice games, but others must be somewhere else around the courthouse or Nessus.
”w-what… is that even supposed to mean?!?”
He takes a deep breath before bellowing at every present pit fiend “LINE UP! WE HAVE WORK TO DO!” He then readies himself to train these pit fiends, to do some good for them.
“I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t mourn his death, but you said you are happy he died, leave and think on that.”
Scrambling, some of them fall off of their stone beds to get in a line. One of them is confused, not recognizing you from anywhere before the trials he last few days.
”who… are you?”
”i don’t want to leave… I want you to…” they trail off, wiping a tear from their cheek with their sleeve.
“I BROKE INTO THIS COURTHOUSE ONCE AND BROKE OUT TWICE! I AM GOING TO TURN YOU ALL FROM CANNON FODDER INTO SOMETHING WORTH MY TIME!”
“Then sit with me, and think, listen and think.” He sits back down on the bench.
They get in line, absolutely terrified.
they sit on the bench reluctantly, sobbing.
“I want one of you to try and hit me.”
Jason sits there, silent, putting his arm around them.”

*Is it me or is Rag starting to resemble Kratos from god of war?*
Rag goes to his room, closing the door behind him, he sits on the ground and begins to breathe heavily, his head in his hands.
(@Arch)
(I know almost nothing about law, so it's kinda hard for me to come up with a legal reason as to why Rag should be set free lol.)

After a while Rag comes back out, and begins to walk around the entire court building, looking for an exit to explore the outside.
”STUPID?” He then takes a deep breath “You were celebrating the death of someone. That is something you lied about.”

He sits at the fountain and begins to mutter to himself about his family, about everything he cares about. Unfortunately he doesn’t realize that his voice and muttering are loud enough to be heard by anyone who simply passes by, and because his eyes are closed anyone can listen in.
”Yes. I can. No matter how bad he was, he was a kid.”
