Helianth deeply bows before the King, its crooked stem and gnarled roots contorting as it does. "It is an honor to make your acquaintance, your majesty. Many thanks for the feast." It then shambles over to a chair, trying as best to 'sit' as its unhumanoid anatomy can allow.
*It is isn’t it?* The King steps out of the shadow and their appears to me much less of him than before. His arms are no longer strong and well muscled. Instead they have become long and thin. His frame seems to be barely more than a skeleton. His pine scale chest mail scrapes dryly as he moves and a long bat wing cloak is draped over his narrow shoulders. He moves to the head of the table and speaks, “There is a purpose behind your visit, is there not?”
The crooked flower bends slightly forward, as if to get a better look at him. "We wished to have an audience with you, and one reason for why is to present you with this." It reaches over to the wheelbarrow with its roots, wheeling it forward slightly to better show the intricately-assembled and artfully decorated scarecrow within.
His candlelit eyes flash over the scarecrow, “Your craftsmanship is excellent. The design is superb. What occasion calls for this thoughtful gift?”
"We thought it would be a way to show our gratitude for what you do- put one's best foot forward, as they say."

*Anybody want to roleplay? I might have a few character to add to the DD cast.*
*I could possibly if you’re still around.*
*I am still around.*
A new person has arrived at the Autumn Country, wearing pure black leather medical gear, the only exception being their plague doctor's mask, their belt pouches full of strange concoctions and other things.
“Hello doctor, who have you come to cure?” You turn to see the elongated, skeletal figure of the Autumn King. He wears a grinning jack-o’-lantern over his head and a bat wing cloak is draped over his shoulders.
She, being a rather short person, has to cane her head to see the Autumn King completely. She twists a nob on her plague doctor's mask and speaks with a little bit of insanity in her voice "I don't know yet, is anyone sick?"
“Most everyone’s sick of something.” He says through his gaping grin. “What brings you to this country?”
She takes a deep breath, cackling a bit "The want to learn of course. This place isn't like anywhere else I've seen, and that means I've got so much to learn."
“I hope you find food for your curiosity here. You may wish to peruse the library. There is much information kept in those halls.”
*Hey Dark, I made a character who basically makes villains, like something between Hawk Moth and Mr. Bloom but if they had a more paranormal theme.*
*Haven't introed them on here, but I thought they might interest you.*
*That is a really cool concept. How do they empower their villains?*
*So the character is a Spectre, the primary category of undead in my worldbuilding. Every Spectre has a Curse, which has an upside and a downside, and varies in power depending on the Manifestation Level of the Spectre. Level 0 means literally harmless, level 10 means anything between a category 5 hurricane and global thermonuclear war.*
*Basically, this character can eat other Spectres, which would normally destroy the victims in trade for a permanent boost to their own power, but this boi's curse grants an additional effect: They act as a sort of living prison for Spectres, and can give them out as powers. So basically, powerful, curated Curses for specific tasks, but you have to merge with the Spectre you are given in both body and intent. Almost any discord will split you, meaning the Spectre returns to my bad guy and you are left with no unique powers.*
*There is a ton of lore, but basically while you are merged with one of this guy's Spectres, you have some supernatural weaknesses (classic folklore stuff, like salt, bells, sunlight, the works), but you get the Spectre's Curse and two things called Spiritual Armor, which allows you to shrug off massive damage like its nothing, and Blasphemous Physicality, which gives enhanced regeneration, speed, and strength.*
*This boi can also create blessings, which are exactly what they sound like and create a marking on the target. If the marking is messed up, the blessing stops functioning.*

Leonardo and Noctis decide to come down from their kitchen tower to inquire about this feast happening in the Keep. They don't typically get to partake in the labors of other culinary artists, so use to being alone all these centuries and cooking for themselves. Leo would cautiously enter the main dining hall, with Noctis keeping an eye on his twin from the shadows.
“I hope you find food for your curiosity here. You may wish to peruse the library. There is much information kept in those halls.”
She rubs her gloved hands "There's a library? Good, that's always a good place to begin a search for knowledge. Could you point me in it's direction?"
“It’s deep in the Keep of Painted leave over yonder.” He says, gesturing with his slender hand. “You’re welcome in the Keep but be warned, so is everyone else.”
