Feel free to eat what's in the fridge and use my soap, too. I'll help you shop for clothes too once you have the cash for it. That way you can look presentable when you want to get a real job someday."
He lets go of their shoulders "Really, thank you for this, I've been struggling with this for years, you can't get a job when you look like this, but you look like this when you don't have a job."
"I get that. I lived in Kowloon as a kid, and everyone looked like you but with better teeth. Lots of dentists there. Anyway, the only place I'd say is off limits to you would be the basement. There are some very precious things in there that even I'm afraid to mess with most days. I'll move all my cleaning supplies upstairs to the closet for you, so you can do your 'job' as well as you think it deserves to be done."

He hears cooking in the kitchen downstairs. There is a set of pretty generic clean clothes lying out for him on the sink, fitted for a relatively large person. A T-shirt andsweat pants. They're probably long enough, but a bit too large in the waist. They are still warm from the dryer.

"Oh, it just lets me use life energy as an ingredient. It's easy to restore and it regenerates on its own in living beings, so I can take a bit off the top of myself, animals, you know. It also lets me hurt stands, but that's not very useful. If you're close enough to stab a stand, odds are you should be stabbing the person with a stand. Even then, the question begs, why are you fighting a stand user? Wouldn't it be easier to give them what they want and be on your way? I'm not a coward or anything, I just think violence is pointless when it can be avoided so easily. I can get more money. I can heal myself. It's not a big deal."

Abaitha serves three sausages, a big plate of mashed potatoes, and a salad with all sorts of greens and diced tomatoes. It all glows gold, looking and smelling like it's attained a level of vitality and perfection that mundane reality can't sustain. The kind of thing you'd only see in a dream or while in a drug-induced haze. "Eat up!" He says cheerfully.

Honestly, given that you're basically a tenant, I'm getting a good bargain here." he pulls out a calculator from a drawer. "I'm going to pay you the standard minimum wage, and charge you about 50$ a day, and since you live here I'd count you as working whenever you aren't sleeping, so... you get a total of $190 a day, working under the assumption you sleep eight hours a day every day. Yeah, I can afford that. Plus you get free food and lodging, so all that money can be spent on something you want to have."

Anyone who gets the daily news report, be it from the app, the paper, the website or just has the local news on sees the following story “With the increase in crime over the past few months, police presence has increased, but even then, violent crime has spiked in the past few weeks. Most recently, Dorian Sham, owner of Dorian and Sons barber shop has been sadly found dead by strangulation in his home. The house was apparently broken into, as the front windows were broken in. At the scene, various odd metal vine-like objects were found, specifically around Dorian’s corpse, likely the murder weapon in some way. In this saddening event, anyone with any information that could lead to an arrest is encouraged to contact the authorities as soon as possible, and any direct help to their capture will be greatly appreciated, and handsomely rewarded.” They then proceed to give further instructions about the victim, and ways you can help support their family

He shakes his head "That is entirely true." He walks over and takes the keys, going inside "You seem tense, thanks for this, I'm going to take a shower." He closes the door behind him, and immediately goes... not to the basement, but to the shower like he said.

"I'll be doing laundry. Make sure to take a towel with you! Oh, and I just got a fresh set of razors, so feel free to use those." As soon as Al goes to shower, Abaitha goes to the freezing cold basement to empty his cooler.

After a few minutes he comes out of the shower, fully shaved and glowing, looking absolutely stunning as the towel is wrapped around his waist, sand swirling around him. His hair pulls back into a man bun, his body lean and muscular.

He hears cooking in the kitchen downstairs. There is a set of pretty generic clean clothes lying out for him on the sink, fitted for a relatively large person. A T-shirt andsweat pants. They're probably long enough, but a bit too large in the waist. They are still warm from the dryer.

He takes the clean clothes, although he has to use his sand to keep his pant up. His body covered in scars, although the scars don't seem large but rather numerous and deep. He walks into the kitchen "Really, thank you for this."

"You're very welcome. I always try to help people in need. People who need things can eventually become people who take things if no one helps them. You don't need to use your stand, by the way, just pull the drawstrings." Alucard notices that the utensils that Abaitha uses glow golden, as does the food he's preparing. He's making bangers and mash with a fresh salad.

He looks at the salad, then down to his pants, pulling the strings "Sorry, it's just what I do most often. My rags used to shift a lot and I would use the sand to move them back into place. I just got used to using my stand all the time." He finally looks at the tools that are glowing "I know it wouldn't be my place to ask my generous benefactor, but what does your stand do?"

"Fair enough I suppose, I find violence equally pointless, but for different reasons." He leaves it at that, sitting down on the ground out of the way, just watching the sand drain from inbetween his fingers.

He gets up and takes a small fraction of the food, sitting on the floor and beginning to eat, savoring every bite he takes as if he'd been starving for years and would be starving for years after despite how he looked before, getting with fantastic table manners, on the floor.

He stands up and stretches, his body more limber than before, although he was already quite limber indeed. He takes his dish to the sink and begins to clean it until it shines as bright as the stars in the sky "I could never repay you for this gift, truly."

"Then be glad you don't have to. The pay won't be much, of course, but it will at least be pay.

He sputters, coughing hard for a solid few moments before saying, or rather shouting "Did you say 190$ a day?!" He begins to clean faster, cleaning all the dishes and moving to the kitchen floor, sweeping and mopping up every ounce of dust there could ever be on the floor.

Josuno has woken up, though he still seems to be groggy as he stumbles out of the candy shop
Meanwhile…
