She still has godly children, but their origins in the books are said to be when athena finds someone, likes them, and sorta trusts them with the gift of a demigod brainchild? So I had an idea. Hestia, the maiden goddess of hospitality and the hearth. She was really important and honored first at ceremonies b/c the hearth is the center of the home. What if hestia saw herself in a mortal, saw how kind they were to others, and decided to reward them with a magically-created kid?*

Elijah, a couple hundred feet away, groans, before almost collapsing to the ground, supporting themself on a tree. They gasp for air, dropping his bow.
Leslie hurridly rushes over to Elijah, and say while panting, "Elijah... are you... okay...?"
“I’m-cough cough-…no… not fine…” he wheezes, unable to stand.
"Elijah! Whats wrong?!"
“Legs-hurt-… lungs-hurt…” he coughs out, starting to sit up.
Leslie yells out, "Penny! Penny! Over here!"
Penny darts over shouting, "COMING!" when she gets there, she rummages through the medical bag and pulls out a standard-issue rescue inhaler.
"Help him! Quickly!"
she puts the inhaler in his mouth and presses the button on top. "Maybe that'll help?" she doesn't sound sure

*and the rule was that no god or mortal could harm Hestia. Several tried and were smited by the others. She was impartial in every fight, and feircly protected by all the other gods, even though she didn't really have any offensive power (that we know of)
