“Huh? Oh, hi!” They appear to be struggling just a bit, moving their half leg up like it will find purchase.
“Just lost a limb?”
“Crazy snake lady thought I looked like a snack, how could you tell?”
He nods to her leg. “The hobble gives it away. I haven’t lost any limbs, but monsters have taken a few bites out of me.”
“Ouch. What’s the worst you’ve got?”
“Venomous bite down my leg. I still walk with a limp. And there’s a very noticeable hole in it. It looks festering. But it’s healthy.”
“Weird… and it hasn’t healed?”

"I honestly have no idea, maybe it's the amount of dad's genetics I have, maybe he unlocked something inside me, maybe it's my experience, or maybe it's how i channel it. Here, try to hold this." she holds out a simple lightning bolt
“That’s your lightning, though. I can’t even control my lightning.”
"Just try it, I can make sure it doesn't hurt anything."
He touches it, relaxing, and instead of picking it up, draws his own lightning from within. “It isn’t solid. I can’t pick it up. This is the best I can do. But it’s not hurting me!”
