 The shadow starts to levitate, as Evan raises it as high as he can, keeping it far away from him, about 20 ft. Is the attack out of range? 

*no within range. but so would Even. Uh oh.*

As the shadow begins to levitate, Ashley whispers one word to Evan. "Run." before she erupts in a fiery explosion.

Make a DEX saving throw or take 44 damage, or half as much on a successful roll.

*okie.*

Even gets blasted away from the force of the explosion, but manages to at least get some distance beforehand. The shadow, however... is gone. Ashley ispassed out in the middle of a intence bonfire, much of the forest burning.

 “Ashley!” He calls, running to her side. He looks extremely weak, but still has some strength left. “Oh jeez…” He runs back to camp to grab an Apollo kid. 

She's out cold, and the fire begins to slowly die down as you run towards her, sizzleing out. She is warm to the touch, and you have to pull your hand away for fear of getting burned. An apollo kid named Jacob follows you back, trying to understand everything that happened.

 “There was this shadow and I made it fly and then Ashley exploded…” Evan is saying. 

"... Slow down. You're not making any sence. You also probably need some Ambrosia, the size of those burns!"

 “But it’s true!” He lets Jacob give him some ambrosia. 

"I don't doubt that! But what do you mean, you made a shadow fly? And, did it look like AShley was hurt in the explosion as well?"
