“Good answer, so you do. I don’t think you did the right thing, but the right thing doesn’t matter now, Tyler’s dead, right or wrong, all you have to do is make that death mean something.” He pats their shoulder, smiling a bit.
"No. I did the right thing. I did the right thing!"
“It doesn’t matter, you have doubts, every killer does, if you didn’t, then there would be a problem, but you do.”
"No. I did the correct thing."
He sighs, “No you didn’t, you killed a kid for a crime you hoped to prevent, becoming a criminal yourself. Don’t be sure of yourself, ever.”
"... No, no no no no no no no... I did the right thing... They are all safe... They won't die... not like the others..."
“Deep breaths, you are spiraling, you need to take some deep breaths, think of something calming.” He tries to help her a bit.
"... They are safe. I did the right thing. They are alive. They are safe."
He clasps her hand with both of her, comfortingly “They are alive and safe, but… you’ll never know if you did the right thing, because you didn’t want to risk it.”
