 “Yeah. I was starving once. He took the form of another homeless person and helped me figure out how to steal from some people. He told me he was a Greek God before he left. Right before he did, the claiming symbol flashed above my head.”

 "I believe so. I can't help but feel a bit envious of those who can engage in positive physical contact...or that others aren't forced to constantly sense fear and anxiety in others...especially when I am the caused of it..."

 "... Youre cursed by your lineage? People feel a deep fear when you make contact with them? Im sorry... The curses we live in this world with are all cruel and unnecessary torment..."

 "I'd like to think I'm a bit more optimistic of my fate, that I can use this ability to help others. But...it requires having a strong will, to be confident in your worth...and it can be a very unfair expectation to have on someone, especially children...especially if no one, the gods especially, don't wish to help teach or guide them..."

Feyrouz is sitting outside of the Hermes cabin, back to the wall and furiously clicking through some kind of game on her 3DS.

 Chase comes into the arena. “I see you’re feeling better.” He tells Selius. 

 Selius snorts, coming to a halt. “The people here have been rather violently opposing my habit, and it’s crazy. I mean, Dionysus runs the place!” He neatly spins his spear before stabbing it into the ground. 

 “They’re both immortal. You won’t be able to do it. Maybe you can find another goal that is just as honorable?”

“But this gives us more to work on. Should we go back to the library?”

 She nods slowly "I suppose some think optimism for the best.. I think Ive personally lost that ability. The fates are cruel sometimes, no matter what we try to do to work around what they give us. But if you believe you have a way to use it for good.. You may as well try. Has this manifested since birth?"
