 "Yea" Scar shows his 4 beads 

 “I’ve only been here a month! But I-nevermind.” 

 "Lemme guess you killed someone or someone else killed someone accident or not"

 “Yeah… both. And my best friend tried to kill me. And my other best friend died. And I’ve looked upon the true form of Khaos four times.” 

 " Who's your ex best friend"

 “Ashley. Child of Helios.”

 She sighs "Margarite did.. If I could have saved the innocent people... The children, the fathers and mothers, and those not murdering people... I would have.. In an instant"

(... Then we can wait longer. Until you feel youve researched enough to the point you fully believe we're ready)

"Hah. Yeah, right. Keep telling yourself that, whatever keeps you up at night."

(No... we should do it... Yeah.)

 "... Is that all youve come for? To berate me for what happened? Or perhaps would you like to help me and some other campers repopulate the animals of the lake?"

(Good... Perhaps we should look up intimidation tactics, though. If we want her swear on the river, we'll need as many ways to force it out as we can)

 "... Yes. Though I doubt youll listen.... Id recommend you find one of the 'therapists' in camp. They are rather good at helping with these sort of feelings after the death of someone you care about.."

 Makana claps "Thats quite impressive!! Especially to perfect it so quickly!! What applications do you plan on using it for?"

 Charlie shrugs

"Not really sure yet! I just like building things, mostly." 

She gasps and hold out the box to Makena.

"Would you like it? I don't have a use for it, and there's nothing in it that's not waterproof! You could use it to listen to your music, well backwards, but still!"

 "I.." She seems surprised "I mean... If- If youre sure, I would be happy to accept it! Though are you certain? I... We've only just met, and I wouldn't want to deprive you of something so interesting..."

 "I insist! I can always build another one! Plus, I'm too shy to make friends, usually, but I think you're really cool!  Wanna be friends?"

Charlie seems nervous, but takes a breath and smiles.

"It's okay if you don't want to too."

 "Why wouldn't I want to? You seem to be a rather wonderful person so far, and its always nice having more kind demigods as friends!"

 Charlie whoops and jumps up holding out her hand to Makena for a high five 

"Besties!"

 Makana high fives her with a smile, leaving her hand a bit soaked "Perhaps not quite 'besties' yet, as we still only have just met... But possibly eventually!"
