Wondering what trauma? Well, essentially, she was working on the roof of her parents' house, but slipped and fell. Her ribs cracked when she hit the ground (three-story house, BTW). The pain triggered her powers, and she transformed into a dragon. The pain made her lash out, and when she finally calmed down and regained control, she'd decimated a large chunk of the neighborhood, including her house - and family.
Yep, it's kind of a dark backstory. Literally based off of a nightmare I had where I killed my family. Way worse than the ones where I died...
