Its definitely OP summoning 3 dire wolves at level 6... But also a massive pain to run. Filling the board with more creatures and that many more turns will make running this take forever at level 6+, and especially so when there are 15 additional turns to take

Yeah, as is 6... 3 is doable, but not necessarily ideal. Thats why summon spells moved away from what they used to be, and towards the 'Summon this one of this special statblock'

hmm maybe if i remove that option and at the third level you get 2 wolves then at the 6th level the wolves become two dire wolves and at the tenth they become winter wolves and at the 14th they gain access to 3rd level spells or lower from the druid spell list or still too op?

You can expend a second-level spell slot at the third level and summon 2 wolves. These two wolves share your amor class and your intelligence, wisdom, and charisma scores, and they get temporary hit points equal to three times your druid level

The only change I would make is make that use a wild shape instead of a spell slot, since thats common for druids first feature, and they get it at lv 2 when they dont have 2nd lv spells. Also, needs to state what kind of action it takes
