“You may choose one now. I was going to wait to give you one, only because these horses are carnivorous and I was unsure if you were experienced in cavalry training.”
“Um, not really. I’ll meet you there.” He races down to the stables. Half an hour later, he exits, looking tired and injured. The horse resists his attempts to ride him, but he eventually gets to the center of Profanus.
The stables building is tall and imposing, made of brick and fortified with metal, a sloping roof giving it a mix between a small fort and barn look, the inside housing several rows of muscular, sharp teethed warhorses, each stall labeled properly in Celestial with a name and basic information of their health and temperament. These seem to be the knight’s horses, but there are three unclaimed stalls as well as the outside pasture, where a few are grazing. The three horses are equally large, though one is on the leaner side, one appears to be blind in one eye, and the last seems to have been marked for aggressive temperament, apparently having had killed and eaten someone’s squire. The first is roan colored with black markings, the second being a dappled appolosa colored a deep brown with reddish undertones, and the final one being jet black with a cropped mane and tail. All three have reddish eyes.
