A cats wail echos over the graveyard, as a Tabaxi falls from the sky and lands with a crunch

 “Cat person.” Chase says. “Perfectly normal.” He’s slumped over and hugging his legs to his chest, crying. 

 The Tabaxi lies there, motionless

 “It’s dead. Like me.” He sighs. “Wonder what Iris would have to say about all this.” 

 “W-who’s there?” The voice comes as barely more than a whisper 

 “Me. I’m Chase. That’s my name.” He sighs again. 

 “Timber….” He wheezes, and coughs “where…. Am I?”

 “You must be dead. Like me! I’m dead. We can be dead together.” He sighs a third time. 

 “I was already dead before coming here”

 “Yeah. I was dead before coming here too. I spent a few days wandering around as a ghost.”
