*The Core Apparatus of any toy has a slot for an additional medium or component, which grants abilities to the toy. There are three main kinds of add-ons for a Core Apparatus: An additional Core Slot (CS), an Injector (IJ), or a Black Cog (BC). Both IJs and BCs drain energy quicker, meaning the toy will have to rest and recover after the fight.
*An additional CS means you can carry an extra Core, which does exactly what you'd expect. More energy at the cost of either having to wind-up, altering your mind, or having to burn things in vast quantities.*
*An Injector allows you to briefly enhance yourself by augmenting your soul Core's energy output with various alchemical agents. What this functionally means is that you have potions being injected into you at all times, granting you supernatural abilities ranging from being calmer in tense situations to reality manipulation. However, these have nasty side-effects, much like drugs in real life. They tend to cause major alterations in organic components, often requiring modifications to mechanical components in order to maintain functionality. They can also cause damage to your core.*
*Black Cogs aren't actually cogs most of the time, but extremely intricate and paranormally enhanced mechanical components. These are less flexible than Injectors, but typically more reliable since they don't need to be refilled.
