"They love their distractions... but they don't want to look past them, to see how much pain they're in." He grits his teeth. They are almost luminescent white. "My family told me not to. But I didn't listen... This Complex is horrible..."
“Where are you from? And, what makes it so horrible?” Kettle seems very curious, and she half-kneels to get equal to your height, staring at you with eyes that are inhuman yet still brimming with emotion.
"No one seems to know about where I'm from... it's called Complex White." He looks away, unable to bear eye contact. He puts his hands in his pockets, bracing himself.
