The Deity of Desperation has made two new creatures: Finches and strugels. The first fly out from the mud and leave immediately for warmer, safer lands, while the strugels alternate between work and rest, allying with the morlocks in order to begin building. The strugels are clever and rather quick, but require their creature comforts.
One of the strugels is different, though. He doesn't sleep. He cooks for the group, and eats massive quantities of food to keep his body from breaking down under the weight of his curse. Consumption, the others call him.
