Hi! This thread is meant to share songs that mean something to you
The way this works (These are more like guidelines rather than full-on rules) is that you post three song lyrics, and under them you write what they mean to you in a spoiler (To save page space), and you would list the song name and artist. You can also discuss the songs, but no insulting because of the songs
For example
Here is mine (Currently)
Now this house ain’t a home
(From Now This House Ain’t a Home, by ATEEZ)
What this song means to me is, because sometimes when you try to feel at home, in your families house, it just doesn’t work, because you feel like an outcast, and you don’t fit in which leads to your family not feeling safe in, or at least that is my experience with it
I wanna be myself (I don't care)
Yeah, I gotta be myself (just don't care)
And now that your weight's come off my shoulders
I realize that I can fly
(Levanter (English version) by Stray Kids)
This song is sort of me just being me, I’ve been other people to long, but my masks are still me, just a different me, so I’m going to show the things I wouldn’t have in the past, I’ll be more open, or at least I’ll try, I will be me
I miss the days when I had a smile on my face and
Wasn't so caught up in all of the small things
I’ve been going through some hard times, this song is me missing the days, when I was younger, when what I’ve been dealing with didn’t matter, gender didn’t matter for me, but now it does so I guess I’ll live through it, I know it will get better
Yeah, I tried to hide away from all the sorrow and pain
But little did I know that I was going insane
The sun will always be there waiting after the rain
I want to close my eyes, look at the sunlight, and smile
(Cover Me by Stray Kids)
I can relate to this because it just seems right, I was trying to hide away from my pain, and yes, I was going insane, it’s a hard lession, and one you must learn through experience
That's how it was when all adults were our age.
They say that they all grew through making mistakes and practicing.
There are still many things we're new to.
It's okay, we'll grow up as we experience it too. Don't cry.
If you fall behind a little, you can take a break.
You are doing well, you are having a hard time for a while
(Grow Up by Stray Kids)
This song was written for the artists fans, its meant to comfort people, and it works, of it really works, and the background music fits the song so well

Hello! Call meTana. My pronouns are She/Her. I am a teenager. I have Autism and ADHD. And, you would probably call me trans femme, Pansexual pancake, and ace I will mother you if you are being stupid. ALL HAIL MERLIN! [roll]1d4[/roll] + [roll]1d4[/roll] + [roll]1d4[/roll] + [roll]1d4[/roll] + [roll]1d4[/roll] + [roll]1d4[/roll] = [roll][roll:-6]+[roll:-5]+[roll:-4]+[roll:-3]+[roll:-2]+[roll:-1][/roll] I have adopted Golden, Salem, Wes, Aspen, and Foalin.
I'm not gonna narrow it down to a bunch of lyrics, but here's some really meaningful/cool songs I like: #1 -- NF, How Could You Leave Us? #2 -- sn0wcrash, Call the Cops: It's a really good, deep song if you take a look at the lyrics, and I just like it for some of the feelings it expresses. Really good to just shout sometimes. Demoted, though. Going through my emo arc, I guess. #3 -- Modest Mouse, Broke: This is a new addition to my list, but I love it. So far the only Modest song I like (although Polar Opposites is OK). Just a nice little dose of emo to shake up a day. #4 -- Bear McCreary, Galadriel: No lyrics, and I've barely watched Rings of Power. It's a really awesome song, though. The artist is really cool, too. Gives Ludwig Göransson vibes. #5 -- sn0wcrash, Out of My Mind: Another sn0wcrash banger. It's all I have to say. #6 -- Oh, a tie! Either Dragons or Lone Digger by Caravan Palace. Not for the quality of their lyrics, but just because the beats are...smoking. Like, you could set a fire alarm off by just playing it. Like, it'd burn the sun to cinders.
Eh. I listen to anything and everything, really. :D

That's a great outline, Wes__! It sounds like an awesome "emo-energy-cinematic-electro-swing" playlist. :)
I have an entire analysis on how the song "if Only" from the hit Disney channel original movie Descendants is actually about being trans

I'm Fry, a doodler, writer, aspiring singer/songwriter, and sort-of youtuber (check me out!) goofin' around on the interwebs Soli Deo Gloria(Sed servus eius crustulum vult) I'm a disabled, neurodivergent, dumpster fire, and somewhat of a clown, but I do my best :3 Crafter of Constellations, vocaloid enjoyer, waluigi’s #1 fan, space alien, undead cutie pie, danganer of ronpas, and certified silly goose Internet big sib to aspeninthetrees, TheGatoLover, (and hopefully more)
My top 1 song: You’re Going to Need a Bigger Ukulele by Chris Christodoulou.
It may just sound like “YEAH HEAVY ROCK METAL SUPER AAAAARRRGGGHHH” on the outside but within the creation of the piece is a story of tragedy. A story of grief. A story of betrayal. The piece itself is one of spite, but the pencil behind it was fueled with emotion.
Before you go, show me what it's like to finally know
The face behind the silhouette, in this world I made to be infinite
But within the expanse, I finally see
A world without you isn't meant for me
This lyric is one of the few lyrics I've had sung to a specific person, my late girlfriend, who died a few years ago. It's really interesting because the song it's from ends in a similar way to my own story, which I'll explain after the next lyric :>
It's like the world keeps passing, unlike the void I've become
Letting go of perfection, another lie, this wretched melody is everything you left to die
I'm just a vacuum, just a fragment, an echo in time
This purgatory is eating away everything
This is a line that for a long while after my girlfriend's death had defined me. She hadn't gone peacefully, and I was left on my own to pick up the pieces of what was my life. funnily enough this song lyric is from the same song (Or more accurately same series of songs), and like the way this song ends, I had spiraled into grief and depression, and, had one of my close friends not pulled me back from the darkness I had embraced, I might have ended this story exactly as the song did
And after it all, our hearts are invincible
Like diamonds we glow, we are unbreakable
This defines my current stage of life. I had survived an event that had taken someone dear to me, and I had soldiered on despite wanting to give up. After it all, I finally see that my heart is indeed invincible, and I also dazzle in a dress. And despite everything, I know now, that I am unbreakable.
Howdy, I'm Trilogy, but y'all can call me "3" if y'all want.
A little about me, I'm a bit of an emotional trainwreck, but I'm workin' on gettin' better. My favorite things in life are TTRPGs, Deathcore, and doin' sensational pinch harmonics until my cab blows out (I've done this like twice, but it was all in good fun). Favorite band is Lorna Shore, y'all should check out their newest studio album, IFTEFWM, it's a banger, trust me.
That's all from me, for now, take it easy ladies and gents, Trilogy
You got a dark side, guess you’re not the only one
What if we both tried fighting what were running from
We can’t fix it if we never face it
What if we find a way to escape it,
We could be
Free, free
We can’t fix it if we never face it
Let the past be the past till it’s weightless
Free, Rumi & Jinu
So what this means to me is basically like you need to work together to solve problems, and help each other. This is probably my favourite song, and it’s very sweet. It also references the movie without referencing it, if you know what I mean.
I’ll do more later, I’m busy and have to go soon
