I think the general rule is it has to be on dnd beyond, but no homebrew unless otherwise stated.

its not homebrew, its a actual thing, its similar to DND, though has a few differences. most of the items are comparable with DND, its more of a dm/gm desicion (not sure what to call link in this instance)
