The FPC (Based on the DAO)

Hello, hello, hello! Welcome to your new home! Who am I, you may ask? I’m of no importance. But you are. Oh-you expected somewhere else? No, of course not! We got to you before you could get there. We are the FPC-and soon you’ll be a FPC agent too! What does it stand for? You’ll learn that eventually. 

This will be your training area for the next few years. The facility is inescapable-don’t even try. Even your powers aren’t strong enough to help you. But stick with us and you’ll get more powerful. Because that’s what everyone wants. Power. Hah, am I right? 

There are a few rooms here. The cafeteria, your quarters-everyone has a room, feel free to ask for accommodations. There’s a library-the books are all digital to protect them from fire users. Training room is also fireproof-well, it’s everything proof. You can let out as much steam as you want, but save some for the enemy! 

Speaking of the enemy, the best of you will occasionally be sent on missions. Those will be reserved for only the most trusted-we don’t want you escaping on the job! Don’t worry though, these missions are hardly dangerous. Simple things. Retrieve a new member, (we don’t say kidnap here), get some loot (it’s not stealing!), maybe take out some targets? 

Some of you might be wondering why you’re here. That’s okay! You have manifested Powers. These are hidden from our modern-day Earth, and they are incredibly useful. Some of you can create fire and can’t ever get cold! Some of you can fly! Some of you can see the future! Powers vary. You’re here because if we hadn’t gotten you, the enemy would have, and if the enemy had gotten you, that would have been just awful. 

Well, now’s the time to explore. One last thing-if you hear screams, that’s just the Chambers. It’s where those who have misbehaved go. They’ll be back, though! Just a little different. 

RULES:

Keep things appropriate, please. Keep gore low, and no 18+ scenes. If you REALLY want to do that… do it in PMs. 

Try to be respectful. Nobody likes a jerk. 

Do not use swear words, if you need to curse, say (GP) instead. 

Cut your quote chains! It’s a hard lesson to learn, but it must be learned. 

Speak OOC like *this* 

If someone tells you not to do something because it triggers them, please do not do it. 

Listen to the mods! Me, EJODM, and I'm recruiting so just ask and I'll either accept or reject based on what I've seen of you.

Remember the rules of permission, permission to attack, permission to kill, permission to romance, permission to hurt, permission to do anything sexual. 

Put the word FPC in your first post to show you read the rules!

No godmodding, unless you are an actual mod. 

New rules and lore may be added, I will announce them if so. 

Disclaimer: This thread is based on the DAO by FryDoodles. They have been offline a while now and have approved of me wanting to do a remake in the past, so I assume this is okay. If it’s not, the thread will be deleted. This thread is set on Earth in the 2000’s-2010’s. Put the power in a post when you introduce your character, or if you don’t want to share, PM it to me. If you don’t include your character’s power in the post or in a PM, the character will be powerless until you say what the power is and create some rules for it. Rules do not have to be strict at all. 

Everyone is welcome here :) I really don't hate anyone or want them gone from my threads.

A kid on the younger side is sitting in a beanbag in the hallway. He has curly black hair, honey brown skin, and wears a T-shirt that’s a few sizes too big for him and shorts that you can barely see under the huge t-shirt. The T-shirt has  the words “bangbang” on it, surrounded by one of those cartoony explosion things. It’s blue. The boy yawns. His eyes are drooping-he can’t be any older than twelve, and he looks exhausted.

A couple of older teens, maybe 17, are standing in the cafeteria, talking. One is a boy with a fluffy black bowl cut, brightly coloured clothing, and a metal arm. The other is an athletic girl, wearing a red leather jacket, short shorts and tall boots (certainly an outfit for the ages).

*Xavier and Arabella are back! Gonna make Xavier less of a jerk this time. Can I mod? I'd like to make an archive thread so people don't take existing powers*

A shorter, hooded kid stands --- or, rather, leans --- against a stark-white wall, the faded black of the sweater a deep contrast. They absentmindedly flick through something on his phone, and, with the way they're slowly bobbing their head up and down, it's possible that they have earbuds on. The only really visible feature of theirs are a few stray, dark curls which poke out from beneath the hood.
