A nearby Ravenclaw says "Accio shoes!" and his shoes get attracted to his wand, however, this cause him to rotate, moving his wand as well.
He is spinning for a solid 15 seconds before the spell wears off and he is flung into the student with the kitten

I find the idea of one multiverse to be unfeasible with all of the rules set by numerous franchises when delving into multiversal concepts so I propose the Polymultiverse, all multiverses exist at the same time but separate.
