Heya! This is a combat/roleplay thread set in my homebrew world. You do not have to fight or roleplay (although it would be preferred if you did one because like… what else would you do), and you do not have to read the lore. Some basic things you should know are that you have, for some reason, entered an underground city called Docheka. The city fell a few decades ago and is now home to demons and monsters that hunt throughout the city. The city is known for its treasures-knowledge, gold, weapons, magical artifacts. But the demons there are dangerous, and there is said to be a portal to the demon realm deep within the city. The city is underground, and above it is an inhabited city called Kayari, which will be described more in the lore section.
COMBAT RULES:
5e and 5.5e rules are allowed, however I’d much prefer for people to use 5e since I do not own the 5.5e books and I have no intention of ever doing so. Tana is a mod and will be in charge of the 2024 rules on this thread. Xanathar’s, Tasha’s, and Mordenkainen’s, as well as the PHB are all allowed. Lmk if I missed any books. If you choose 2014, you can edit the stat increases so it isn’t locked on one specific stat. Homebrew must be approved by me or another mod. You will start at level 3 and level up using the dnd experience system. You will be the one keeping track of your experience, mods are not required to do this. If you level up too fast, mods will check to see if you’ve been lying about your experience, but in other cases, it is up to you to track. You can start with one uncommon magic item that must be from the medieval era (so no guns), and the Wish spell is banned. PvP is allowed, and when you kill another player, you gain all their experience. However, there will be monsters to fight as well, and you can team up with others. Please roll for stats on the thread, and ask me for a reroll if you roll low. You can have multiple characters, but you cannot use them to team on other characters.
RULES:
NO NSFW
Do not force people into combat or roleplay. If someone consents to combat, you do not need consent to kill their character. However, if someone is killed in Docheka, unless they are close to the center of the city, medics will find them and bring them back to Kayari. They will drop back down to level 1.
Listen to the mods (Banan, Tana, Link, recruiting but I am being selective)
Please be respectful!
y’all should know the drill by now, check my other threads for rules if I missed anything.
LORE:
The world is called Mileniya, and the city you start in is called Kayari. Kayari is split into different Houses, which each have their own government, and Kayari is ruled by the Kayai, Kayai Adez. There are two moons, and it is largely believed that the demons come from the moon Nix, and the angels from the moon Oedipus. Angels will not be relevant here unless you want to play a descendant. There are a few countries, and the waters of Mileniya are filled with monsters so only the main continent is accessible. The main religion of the world is to the Khsat, the god that rules Hast, and its people are carrying out crusades to try and get people to follow their god. Magic was long ago broken and split into things called Talents, but you can play a spellcaster, just say their magic comes from a Talent. Pirates are also a thing. Kayari was founded by survivors from Docheka, and also demons that escaped the army, so demon descendants like Tieflings and Flooflings (ask me for the race if you’d like to play a Floofling) are common.

A young man who looks like a Siberian tiger in humanoid form, but with studded leather armour, a bow and quiver slung over his back, and a pair of scimitars walks towards the dungeon entrance.
Age. You can live to about 150 years old due to your misty body being able to survive longer than most human bodies.
Languages. You can speak common and one other language of your choice.
Speed. Your walking speed is 25 ft.
Nebulous. Your base AC is 12+your dexterity modifier due to being partly spectral. If you don armor, this ability disappears.
Ability Score Increase. Increase one ability score by 2, and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1.
Mistborn. You do not require water and food to live, although you still do require air.
Cloudcaster. You know the Gust cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the Fog Cloud spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the Levitate spell with it. Once you cast Fog Cloud or Levitate with this trait, you can’t cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.
Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race). None of these spells require spell components when you cast them with this trait.
Electric Resilience. You have resistance to lightning damage.
Mask of the Sky. You can attempt to hide even when you are only lightly obscured by heavy rain, falling snow, mist, and other natural phenomena.

Since there’re made of mist, could they kinda reform into different personas? If so, thinking of making a genderfluid one that changes shape depending on how they’re feeling.

They could probably edit how they look or smth, but it would be pretty clear they’re them. Like they could make their hair longer or smth.

A young man who looks like a Siberian tiger in humanoid form, but with studded leather armour, a bow and quiver slung over his back, and a pair of scimitars walks towards the dungeon entrance.
Heyo! You can call me Link. Here’s a bit about me:
Roomba Knight, Architect of the Cataclysm, Foxy Lunar Archpriest. Dubbed The Fluffy Bowman by Golden. He/Him
Theatre Kid, Ravenclaw, bookworm, DM, Lego fanatic, mythology nerd, pedantic about spelling. I also love foxes, cats, otters, and red pandas!

*I'm using weretiger stats but with strength and dex reversed, if that's ok. And studded leather armour, and a +1 longbow*

Creature Type. You are a humanoid.
