Welcome, everyone! This is part of Bananer's new worldbuilding thread and an extension of my desire to revive Competition of the Finest 'Brews!
This is the May version, so the deadline for projects will be May 9th (about two weeks from now) at midnight (PST, 3 AM EST). We'll either set up a Google Form or use polls here for voting, and give more clarification on voting soon.
Anyone else want to be a judge? And anyone want to fill in the blank and give this a name?
Theme:
'Sic Semper Tyrannis'
Build a world or society in which tyrants are cruelly----yes, cruelly----deposed of, be it a medieval kingdom full of enlightened citizens or a hyper-futuristic world recovering from the ashes of what a government gone wrong did in its throes. Whether the 'tyrants' here are truly tyrannical or not, ensure to explain why they're being swiftly replaced. The people as well----is it a powerful religious or extremist group assassinating at a whim, or a mass societal uprising against these deceivers? Perhaps they have a tyrant in power now, and are beginning to stir.
What is tyranny, and what foments it---and brings it to an end?
Rules: I'm trusting that y'all know what you're doing already, we will report those who violate the usual stuff/disqualify their submission
