The last champion alive gets granted a wish, and is released back into the land of the living with their powers, and the god they champion is proven to be correct in the dispute. These tournaments happen once every year.

Uhhhh so me notices you say it happens once every year and also whenever gods squabble, so wouldnt it be more often?

I was thinking to prevent it from being too often, they like... collect their arguments and stuff for one big tournament at the end of the year. Each person that their champion kills or whatever gives them a point, and the god with the most points in the disagreement wins, and the god with the most points overall gets bragging rights or smth.
