Throwing out several prompts out there for funsies
Prompt 1: This world was created as a fortress to defend against evil beings.
Prompt 2: In this world, every person has power only one element instead of the traditional four or more elemental powers system. (So like, the only element accessible to the people would be fire or rock or smth and nobody can manipulate the others.)
Prompt 3: This world is a competitive game of some gods who frequently disguise themselves among the people, causing mortals to be harmed on their whims.
Prompt 4: This world is separated by the gods so greatly that the gods’ prophets have become the ambassadors of their will, many of these prophets corrupt or completely unable to hear the gods.
Prompt 5: This world has a constant leaking of magic through its “threads” that keep out magic, enforced by the gods. This magic causes unnatural phenomena and cannot be accessed by mortals.
Prompt 6: This world has pretenders play the role of gods through a coveted type of divine magic from the real, long deceased divinities.
You can merge these together, but these were meant for separate worlds.

Prompt 7: A world where gods are a present force in the world, and have amassed followers. Anyone who does not worship or partake in the praise of at least one of the gods is persecuted by society, and often smited by one of the gods. The gods are not cooperative. They hate each other because of their power, and often get into squabbles. When these arguments occur, the gods set up a tournament. They choose champions from the afterlife, and grant them abilities, and set them into a massive world. At the end of each day, one champion is forced to be dead. The last champion alive gets granted a wish, and is released back into the land of the living with their powers, and the god they champion is proven to be correct in the dispute. These tournaments happen once every year.

I was thinking to prevent it from being too often, they like... collect their arguments and stuff for one big tournament at the end of the year. Each person that their champion kills or whatever gives them a point, and the god with the most points in the disagreement wins, and the god with the most points overall gets bragging rights or smth.
