A tog (nz word for swimwear) wearing boy that looks about fifteen, is floating in the lake on his back, gasing at the sky, while what looks like a white eagle sits atop his chest
Carrying a backpack is a young girl wearing a dark green dress and a backpack. She looks to be a bit younger than the boy, and she waves at him. "Oy! Hello! Do you work here? I'm trying to find a registration office or something! My parents just dropped me off here, and I'm not sure where to go!"
"Take a left until you see the graffiti dome then turn right and walk straight until you see a rectangular gray building once you see that take a left and walk straight until you see the blue building. Then boom you're there"
"... Hold on. Could you repeat that? I'm not sure I follow what you're saying."
"Take a left until you see the graffiti dome then turn right and walk straight until you see a rectangular gray building once you see that take a left and walk straight until you see the blue building. Then boom you're there"
"... Left until I get to the graffiti dome... then right until the rectangular grey building... then left until I see the blue building? So the registration building's blue?"
“Nah i’ve been here 3 years and despised every one of them”
"Oh! So you like... know the lay of the land, yeah? Do you like, have everything memorized by now?"
“I don’t have it memorized but I do know the basic lay of the land.”
"Huh! That's neat. So like, for example, if someone was a bit hungry, you'd know where they serve food?"
“Yeah It’s in that general direction (Vix points left). though I’ll warn you sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s bad and sometimes it’s REALLY bad.”
"Oh! Alright. I'll be careful, then. What do you do around here for fun?"
“Me? honestly not much I mostly train and when I’m not training I’m resting by the beach.”
"Oh. Uh. That's cool, that's cool." He shuffles awkwardly.
A guy with dragon horns glowing with purple and blue fire jumps in to the lake. strangely when the fire touches the water it doesn’t go out nor does the water start boil boiling it’s just there…

A latino guy, about sixteen, leans against a dome. Every few minutes, he adjusts his stance, grumbling. The domes aren't very easy to lean on. He wears a hoodie and sweatpants, despite the hot day, and his curly brown hair is accented by a small frown, eyes nearly charcoal black.
A kid who looks to be maybe a year younger than him runs up to him, smiling. They appear androgynous, wearing an oversized yellow and white flannel jacket with a long beige skirt. "Oy- hey there, Julian! How've you been?"
The boy, Julian, frowns. "Do I know you?" He takes a second to look at the kid. "No. No I don't. I think you'd better tell me how you know me. Or are you some rando with a freakish memory who met me once and never forgot?"
She blinks, before groaning. "Oh- dammit. Uh- sorry about that! I got a bit confused. I do that sometimes. Uh- just to clarify- could you remind me what year it is? I'm actually quite forgetful."
"You crazy or something? It's 2038. Hey, you probably have better things to be doing right now. Like... y'know... being in an asylum."
"... Dammit. It's 2038? This is right when we just meet, isn't it? So that's why you were so confused by me... this actually makes a lot of sense."
"Uh... what?" He pauses. "Oh jeez, you're some sort of time traveler. I should have known..."
"Well- not exactly? I'm not really a time traveler, and more so... I exist throughout all time simultaneously? But also separately? It's complicated."
"I'd love to study that. Maybe they should put you in a lab or something."
"I mean, I don't think that would work. I'd just jump away to some other part of my timeline in order to not go in the lab."
"But... wouldn't your body still be there? Or somethin. I dunno how this works."
"I mean, I guess another me would be there, but that me would also just jump away to take the place of a different me."
"Seems like a win win. I get to study you, you don't get to suffer."
"Either way, I have yet to encounter a lab built by you to study me, so I'm 70% certain that it doesn't happen. Unless it does and I've just been avoiding it. ... Hm. This is complicated."
“So I do build a lab?” He asks, tilting his head to the side. “Just not to study you?”
"... I can't tell you, because it's your idea to either build or not build said lab."
“…Huh. Okay. I’m gonna grill you, you know that?”
"Yeah, I do know that, actually. It's really annoying some times. Like, for example, when we're running from Hart and stuff, you never keep quiet. You're always 'Oh, where were you just now, what happened, does it get better'. It's really annoying."
“…Huh? I guess I’ll do that then. Seems to be a blessing to this world that I can bother people like you.” He frowns, but his words are friendly.

"Uh. Well, making friend I guess. My parents were really adamant with sending me here to socialize with other superhumans. Which is really stupid in my opinion, but oh well."
