Hello, I've been reading this forum from time to time but never registered. Now I am tired of looking for a thread about party games. Seems like no one plays any card/board games at parties. Most of my colleagues don't drink much, one of them loves D&D like me, but not sure anyone would appreciate that at the party. So, I have to think out something. Thought about "Cards against humanity" or something like that. Any ideas, please. Was also looking through boardgamegeek but have not found anything decent.
Well, you may try something from this list https://recroompick.com/best-party-board-games/. I played "Disturbed friends" with my mates from college. But we were drunk a little) May be that's why I thought the game is funny
One Night Ultimate is a great series of very quick easy to learn and fun party games. Code Names is good, Cards against humanity is a personal favorite as long as your audience isn't easily offended. The Mind is fun and quick, Hanabi, Magic Maze is a blast. I'd check each of them out on board game geek, watch a gameplay video and see if it suits your needs.
Munchkin is pretty danged fun. It's even better when you play it knowing about D&D tropes, since it parodies of a lot of those. And there's a lot of expansion packs if you want to spice it up a bit.
