The news that Tim Brooke-Taylor died of COVID-19 yesterday is hitting me pretty hard. The Goodies was a formative comedic influence on me in that it shaped my sense of humour as a kid growing up and watching it religiously. It seems I'm at that age where all my celebrity heroes are dying off.
Anyway, I thought I'd start a memorial thread for celebrities you cherished and will miss who have already passed or who will, sadly, in the future, possibly have their atoms dispersed to form some other thing in this realm we call existence.
R.I.P. Tim Brooke-Taylor. And now for a 21 ecky-thump salute.

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
I have heard about this news as well 29D6, just this morning, I am only 13 years of age so I have never heard of The Goodies, unfortunately. I feel your loss, I have always loved Monty Python and having Terry Jones die in late January hit me hard as well. Just remember that the entire D&D Beyond community is here with you in this time of crisis and we will get through this together. Don't forget there will always be a tomorrow.
If you like Monty Python, then The Goodies are very much in your wheelhouse. Also a British comedy show. It was ostensibly aimed at kids and framed as a kids show, however it was always intended as an adult comedy and maintained that underlying element of subversion and social commentary despite having the facade of a children's show foisted upon it. The Goodies team were also very good friends with all the Python crew and worked together on projects across the last fifty years. Terry Jones was also a big loss. I feel for Cleese who keeps seeing all his peers die off; he's coming up on being the last one standing :(
