Oh mighty cult, this is the Bovine King. I have come with an enquiry.
Have you ever heard the rumour of a mystical spell entitled 'Otto's Mystical Correct' (or Otto Correct for short)? I was musing, and realized that it may serve the cult as a useful tool.
Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime. Oh, and it would be nice if you gave him a fishing rod.
If you wish to be a proper cult of grammar, you must read the book "Eats, Shoots & Leaves, The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation", by Lynne Truss; I promise that you will cry with happiness.

Heathen! We would never use such a specter of the truth as "Otto Correct"!

Will try to post, but I have a busy schedule and have to attend to the real world.(Currently un-unavailable, whatever that means...)
"Whatever it was, it was my sister, not me!"
I play Avalon Farwood, Esthvele, and Anacra in the Tales of the Adventurers Tavern.
*Sheeeeez this is from a long time ago... a lot has changed...*
A panda walks into a cafe. He orders a sandwich, eats it, then draws a gun and fires two shots into the air. "Why?" asks the confused waiter, as the panda makes toward the exit. The panda produces a badly punctuated wildlife manual and tosses it over his shoulder. "I'm a panda," he says, at the door. "Look it up." The waiter turns to the relevant entry and, sure enough, finds an explanation. "Panda. Large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots and leaves."
So, punctuation really does matter, even if it is only occasionally a matter of life and death.

It's just another of those punctuation matters things. "Let's eat grandma." and "Let's eat, grandma." Only one implies cannibalism.
