Hey everyone. I can't find anywhere that sells Dragonchess, and I really want to get a set to play it, as it seems to be an amazing game that looks really fun.
I am almost one hundred percent certain that Dragonchess was never mass produced by anyone, or even non-mass produced. Fans would have had to create their own boards, and find their own pieces to populate the boards. So, unless you find someone who made their own set, and wants to part with it, you are probably out of luck.
Yes, it does exist. In 2006, they made a limited edition D&D chess set. It contains the rules for Dragonchess. You will be hard pressed to find it now. I think at the time it was released it cost $300. Here is what it looked like, however the image doesn't do it justice as it is way cooler: https://www.amazon.com/Dungeons-Dragons-Limted-Chess-Set/dp/0786943114
This is not the original 3D Dragonchess that Gygax made but the update that came out in 3.5ed. I think there is an Eberron art of it being used by characters.
That Amazon listing is not "Dragonchess" at all. It is just a regular chess set with dragon pieces and a nice board. It is not what the OP was asking about. And I don't see anywhere where it has the rules for "Dragonchess," which you would not be able to play with that set from Amazon anyway.
Dragonchess was a game theorised by Gary Gygax is an article of the D&D magazine. It was never manufactured. I found an online version, though, so thanks everyone.

Can anyone help me find a set?

is there anywhere else i can find it?
yo
I'm an amateur 3d modelist and have several 3d printers, you could try 3d printing it.
But you would still need rules
I wish, even for a standardized set of rules.
