The makeshift cloak slowly moves and a tabaxi emerges from the howling blizzard outside. "Get me a drink Malwyn, Lathanders red preferably." "What happened to the door."

The Guard Captain and his group of 15 Guards storm out of the Inn, this is not the last you've seen of this Guard Captain. He kicks down the door and leaves.
EDIT: They will more than likely die from the blizzard outside.

A Male Halfling walks into the Tavern covered in Snow, "By Torm! I would be mistaken for thinking this is Icewind Dale with how awful the weather is outside" He takes off his snow-ridden cloak and greets the Barkeeper with a warm smile. "Wellby Tosscobble at your service," he says, "Thank the heavens it is warm inside here, the weather outside is atrocious! I have been travelling the Sword Coast for days as a merchant and this is the first time I have been able to visit a Tavern since I started my journey." He continues "Well, anyway, got anything to heat me up, I am so cold I worry my fingers will fall off."

Ignoring all the chaos, Lyra takes a sip of her ale and continues
The night I found out I was pregnant was the night the Dark Pharaoh attacked Waterdeep. The Wandering Stars rode out to face him, but we were betrayed. One of our companions, a fighter named Mandarb, betrayed us because he was in love with me and I rejected him. (No one in the party knew I had gotten married because of the curse.) We drove off the Dark Pharaoh, but both Mandarb and my beloved Adrian died in the battle.
From that moment I had two goals: taking care of my unborn baby and getting revenge on the creature that killed my True Love. In my grief I made a pact with Malar the Beastlord, one of the gods of vengeance. Nine weeks later, I convinced the rest of the party to track the Dark Pharaoh to his pyramid in far-off Mulhorand. We confronted him in his throne room, but we were unable to stop him from summoning an avatar of the dark god Set. I drew on the power Malar had given me and succeeded in destroying the avatar, but I was badly wounded and our party was forced to retreat to safety. Our cleric Jana tried to Heal me, but it was too late. My baby died before she was even born.
My craving for revenge cost me my daughter. I’m still an adventurer, but now my goal is to find a True Resurrection spell that will bring her back to life in a new body. When that happens, I’ll happily give up the adventuring life and become a full-time mom. Till then, I’ll wander with the stars and hang out in quiet snowbound taverns and enjoy my ale and juniper berries with you guys.

Malwyn looks at the friendly Tabaxi with a tired smile and answers: That door has been broken twice on account of a half orc. Never mind that now, it’s fixable, let me get you that Lathanders red.

Malwyn smiles sadly at her: I’m sorry for your loss, I hope you find what you crave. Thank you, for your story. *she quickly refills her ale and goes to the back room and brings out the spare furniture to replace the ones the guards destroyed and all the while she thought to herself* Good thing you listened to mother and always kept a spare for anything ‘save your life it will ‘ she said...in a way it did I guess.
After replacing the broken furniture, she through what was beyond repair into the fire and said in a voice for all to hear: I sincerely apologize for the disturbances that just happened. I hope we can all put that behind us and enjoy our time together. In fact, everyone here, come to the bar and I’ll get you a free pint of a drink of your choice!
