I'm going through a goth phase, but the goth is short for
Gothic literature
Gothic literature is great. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde and Frankenstein are great ones. Piranesi is a great work of gothic literature that was written recently. An awesome gothic comic is Hellboy.
This isn't a book, but Over the Garden Wall is an amazing work of art that has gothic themes.
I also love Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Though I think technically Frankenstein was Romantic, not Gothic.
Romanticism led into Gothic and the too are very closely related. I'm pretty sure Frankenstein was Gothic though. It has many Gothic themes: darkness, supernatural, nature, isolation, fear, dread, etc.
Another great Gothic story was The Picture of Dorian Gray.
I have yet to read Dracula but I really want to.
Oh ok. That makes a lot of sense.
Defo read Dracula and watch the movie from the 1990s. It’s an amazing story.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).
