I use it like a section of the book series over a specific threat/theme. The Jade Mountain arc was all the Jade Mountain Academy/Darkstalker books with the Jade Winglet/Peril as the main characters.
I really identified with Turtle, but Qibli is always funny. Not sure about least favorite, though. Even the bad guys are good because they're so awesomely evil.
Picking my favorite books feels almost impossible, but here goes!
Witchmark, by Polk
Six of Crows, by Bardugo (Shadow and bone comes first, but SoC is better)
Trials of Apollo, by Riordan (Really all of his work, but this series is my favorite)
Wings of Fire, by Sutherland (A favorite from when I was younger)
When the Butterflies Came, by Little
On the books v screen argument, I like books better, but screen is much convenient for library books. Before I used kindle library books I would use this big wheeled bag to check out as many books as I could fit- and it got full way too fast! Kindle makes it much easier.
What is the most recent book you have read? Mine is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
Haven't read Shadow and Bone, but I have read Six of Crows and Wings of Fire. (Usually I'll read the whole series, but the person who recommended it to me told me just to skip Shadow and Bone. . .and honestly I do feel like I made the right choice, the way they describe Shadow and Bone to me.)
My most recent book I've read (not counting ones that I'm currently reading) is Free Lunchby Rex Ogle. (I'm stuck in italics.)
I actually read Six of Crows before I read Shadow and Bone. There's a Netflix tv show about Shadow and Bone that has the Crows in it- that's the main reason Shadow and Bone is worth reading, in my opinion. The casting on the Crows, especially Jesper... is perfect. Best casting I've ever seen. It's like they jumped straight out of the books!
Have you seen who they're planning to cast for Wylan? Can't really confirm this, but he looks exactly like they described him in the book. I think they could have given Kaz more. . .Kaz. But he is very intense, like ripping out someone's eye in the books, so I can understand that choice. But Jesper was awesome. And I love Milo.
I liked Wylan as well, although I miss the red hair. I love Milo too- it was so funny how
Mal used the necklace Jesper gave Milo to escape.
I actually thought the same thing about Kaz at first, but he had persuaded me by the time I finished the show. I can't wait for season two- I've been looking it up every few days to try to catch the next trailer as soon as it comes out.

Yeah, I liked being able to hear what everyone was thinking. My personal favorite was Talons of Power.
Okay thanks. My favourite series was the Jade Academy I think. Favourite book in that series was moon rising. My favourite character would be maybe quilbi, moon, winter and Darkstalker. I really hated turtle, he gave his sister animus powers, I was sad then.

I agree that Kaz is great even if he isn't as serious in the show. What did you think about Nina and Matthias' parts?

I liked how they did the flashbacks, since it was the perfect timeframe for them. The actors were pretty good, but I think that Jesper and Inej were the best cast overall. They both did an amazing job! I can't wait to see how Wylan does.

Actually, I think Inej, Jesper and Milo did the best job. . .especially since he is eternally cuter than any kitten or pug out there (Milo, not anyone else. Just being specific.) Hopefully Wylan will be just as good as the actors for Jesper and Inej were, but there's no telling until season two comes out. I remember Nina and Matthias being a bit flat, but I do need to rewatch the show.
Also, I've only read Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom so I can't say a whole lot, but I really hope Nikolai's in season two.

Not really a full-length book, but I really enjoyed Ted Chiang's Exhalation series. It's a collection of sci-fi short stories! And awesome. It's very awesome.

The Murderbot series is very good- I’ve only read the first two, but it’s fascinating.
The best of R. A. Lafferty is not all sci-fi, but some of the stories are, and they’re really interesting. In fact, the guardian called him “The most important science fiction writer you’ve never heard of.”
One really good superhero/sci-fi series is Reckoners by Brandon Sanderson. The 'evil guys' are called 'Epics' and they become dictators over parts of the Earth. The 'Reckoners' is a team that takes them down (via assassination.) It has a lot of good humor and an amazing cast of characters, and I promise that it is completely awesome in every way.
