My students need books, dice, maps and figures to play Dungeons and Dragons.
My Students
Our school creates confident students through caring teachers. We invest in our students through rigorous academics, congenial discipline and loving guidance. Our goal is to send students to high school with confidence, maturity, discipline and an eagerness to attempt unfamiliar tasks.
In an age of digital distraction, my English classroom emphasizes reading and communication.
Students read a book of their choice for thirty minutes every class period. In addition to better comprehension skills, allowing the students to choose what they read encourages reading as a habit at a pivotal time in their lives. Communication skills are taught through writing, oral presentations and group work.
The final 120 minutes of every day consists of teacher-guided enrichment blocks. My enrichment block is called Creative Writing and Roleplaying Games. In the group, we write and present short stories, play board games including, with your help, Dungeons and Dragons.
My Project
At our school, we dedicate 120 minutes of every school day to enrichment blocks where students engage in teacher-led student-selected activities. My enrichment block will teach creativity, literacy, critical thinking, communication and improvisation skills through Dungeons and Dragons.
Fantasy roleplaying provides off-screen opportunities for fun while tricking the students into building academic and social skills.
To play the game players must talk with each other to find the best solution to the problem at hand, read through multiple books to select skills for their character, creatively describe their character's attributes and actions, draw their character, and roleplay their character's conversation.
This order includes everything needed to start our enrichment block of 20 students. The supplies ordered will provide enough for three dungeon masters and 17 players split into three groups.
The three dungeon masters (DMs) will need to share the Dungeon Master's Guide and Monster Manuals. However, they will have their own adventure module, DM Screen, fantasy figures, map and dice. The DM crafts their own scenario and guides other students through their epic journey. The DM builds creative improvisation skills as the players engage in actions the DM did not expect.
Each player will have their own figure representing their character and set of dice, but they will share their Player's Handbook with the group. They will use the Player's Handbook to both read about the world of Dungeons and Dragons and look up information about their character's powers. The skills learned through building a mental index of the Player's Handbook will transition to academic skills.
The Fudge Dice will be used for both Homebrew rules and as a soft start to roleplaying through teacher-created scenarios to accustom the students to roleplaying games.

The above mentioned reasons and the team-work factor are important reasons for people to start playing and having it recognized as such would be a great victory.

Where i can possibly be of some help is the game itself. I'm a part of a player group that had around 25 active people at one time so we developed a few styles / features to enhance fun / drive for cooperation with multiple groups.
One of the features is having multiple groups active at the same time in the same area, where 1 person in each group would have a walky talky to communicate with the other groups. This can lead to player character exchanges during game-time either to make it easier for each group to achieve their respective goals or if so required coordinate a three-pronged perfectly timed attack on a single target. This works best if the groups are in separate rooms to keep meta-gaming to a minimum.
Furthermore it is very cheap to get crafting supplies to make your own terrain, i will add a link to one of my favorite crafting groups to give you an idea of what is possible and what you need. For my own crafting experience i love to work with hard foam insulation, you can get this easily for free at construction sites if you explain where you need it for. I could list all the free / dirt-cheap options but most can be found in the linked group. More importantly having 2 dozen kids building fantasy objects and terrain together should improve communication, problem solving skills and add to their self-confidence.
Next to all the crafting information you can think of there is a good possibility that people there are capable and willing to help with your project. Multiple people there have their own youtube / twitch channel on crafting and some even have d&d shows.
If you need maps, one-shots, building layouts, npc info etc. i can supply you with digital material made for use in my group made specifically to include the option of having multiple groups at the same time in about the same location. The set-up is somewhat similar to the dungeon ideas behind the anime's Grimgar of fantasy and ash and to a lesser extent sword art online.
