I just wanted to alert you to a few things I made to help DM's get up and running a bit faster! Recently I found myself making map elements for an upcoming session in procreate and thought to myself this should be a brush set, so I can just stamp down elements.
So I made the Cartographers Tools! It's a set of 20+ Brushes/ Stamps that you can use within Photoshop, Illustrator and Procreate, and you can layout a quick map in under 30 minutes!
I'd be curious to hear your thoughts, and if you have any suggestions for future brush sets!
I also built out another brush set for mapping tavern interiors which includes a set of 32 unique brushes! Which you can find here: https://gum.co/TavernKeeper
Enjoy!

Admittedly, I wouldn't know where to start with a commercial license.
very simple actually, look at K.M. Alexander's page here as a very good example (https://kmalexander.com/free-stuff/fantasy-map-brushes/), you just need to declare it. Keep in mind though, its a one-way event - once you release IP, you can never claw it back. I would also follow the links to review the different types of licenses (https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/) - do you want anyone to use as-is with no edits, can they further alter them into their own derivatives, do they need to give you credit when they use your work, etc.
IMO brushes for personal use are less than a dime a dozen, there's a million out there when you start looking...if you don't include a license, you're one straw in a haystack and you're very expense (because you're compared to free). But brushes at a decent price that someone can use in their own commercial publications are much rarer. that would help set you apart. all imo of course.

Thank you! I have been making sets on an off for the last year! I'm glad people have gotten some use out of them!

I notice you don't mention any type of commercial license. Are these just for personal use?
