I take the diviner school of magic temporarily to gain access to that one DnD ability where you make 2 rolls per day that you can keep as long as you want, then replace 2 other rolls with. then, I suggested the homunculi try to find a way to streamline the process of making new homunculi, then i ask my clone to cast scrying so we can find a rough up this dingus who checked out all those books.
finding a way to cast it faster, or in parallel, or something, so he can succeed in making a smarter homunculus faster. however, if he has an idea for how to improve his own brain Directly and reliably, he can do that instead, and if he has no ideas, maybe try to figure out how to amplify his intelligence indirectly, or to make first stage nanotechnology.
Also, I check what the 2 'roll replace' numbers i can divine are. roll 2D20 and i can replace a roll with 1 of those results at will k yes thakn
I am very confused as to what's going on. I tell my homunculus to go make me a pizza. Better yet, I tell it to make me a pizza golem! No, I don't know why.

Well, with enough intelligence you can figure out the accurate (Einsteinian, not Newtonian) laws of gravity by the 5th frame of a falling apple. it stands to reason that you would also be able to figure out the rest of the worlds physical laws soon enough, and then cure cancer, stop global warming, build utopia, etc etc... I have no worries about you (the first homunculus) building A Utopia any different from the one I would want, as you (first homunculus) where explicitly built with a Perfect copy of my CEV (which essentially means what i would want if i knew more, thought faster, was better etc.). if you where not built this way, my clone gets their soul back and xanmes or whatever his name is will have to try again.
Essentially, the homunculus was built with a compact way of finding the instructions i want for any scenario, and should just follow those (out of game, i acknowledge you don't know my CEV, so i understand asking is necessary).
I cast invisibility, create a cushion of air to muffle sounds, and cast astral move to phase through the door to inside. then I summon a wand of blue mahoe wood, and cast with a wisper 'accio', expending 1 accio essence and whispering 'the books i'm looking for'. the spell searches for them, then pulls them from the bookshelf to just above my palm, before dropping them in it.
if the above succeeds, I astral move back outside and run over to where everyone else is
I initiate operation "Sneak into the persons house and steal their books."
by sneaking into this persons house and stealing their books.

I blast the golem with magical lightning, cooking it as well as animating it!

I try again, but try not to burn it. If I do burn it I prestidigitate away the burnt-ness(I think you can do that with prestidigitation).

Imma examine the ritual.
And have a slice of pizza golem.

I give the homunculi copies of the books and ask the non-xcanes one what ritual they're doing, before starting to read the books myself.
