first, I rant about how good has multiple meanings, and is best described as 'positive utility'. Then, I cast Detect good on the summoning thing. this informs me whether it happening will give me positive expected utility.if yes, I let it be, if not, I prestidigitate all the ritual stuff.
I suggest they try to figure out how to make first-stage nano-technology. Also, I give them the book on how to make better homunculs using more expensive daggers in the most efficient way or whatever it was. it was definitely about better homunculus from daggers that cost more tho.
I cast dreamspeech, and appear in aeisenberg scientist guy's dreams, and apologize for my homunculuses doing all this stuff. I keep giving them suggestions for medium-term goals and, naturally, the fastest or simplest way to accomplish those goals ends up being "steal the appropriate information. strong arm other people"... i really should know better by now. heh. Then, I decide to go look for a map of the way to Smort, a jungle city which last I checked hated quartz with a passion and was protected by a shaman. maybe they'll be able to neutralize the passive magic around the goblin? of course, there's a good chance I'm on the wrong continent, or perhaps even the wrong plane.
I suggest the homunculi make some nanotechnology and make sure they can control it. I then head to smort, where I find that in the several hundred years since I left, the shaman is now evil and manages some ruins outside the city, and he steals peoples life. he did seem a bit evil before... I look around to see whether the city still has anything useful within.
both mes. (Wait really? huh. I didn't actually mean Smort would be evil, I was suggesting its old protector was evil and had been driven out, but still menaced the city.) I look around... where's the shamman's base? I hope it's not protected by some shaman magic barrier, because that would make threatening the shamman with death and getting him to join me more inconvenient. also, saving people. i'm definitely not an opportunistic selfish person nope.
I examine the ritual more.
"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."

I'll detect cookies on it. "Yes, yes, if it detects as positive then we'll know that xxanmees stole the cookie from the kooky jar!"
It seems I'm still ever so slightly insane after all the psychic damage I endured.

I use x-ray vision to try and spot any abnormalities in the goblin's brain.

More identification ensues.

Okay that's weird. I do more identification.
