We've changed the rules since op created the thread. Uppers win at 100, downers at 0, and you have to make a DC 13 Strength check to pull the rope at all. You start at 10 Strength, and gain +1 to strength score per pull attempt. If you go a day without pulling, your strength score goes down by 1. Minimum is 10, max is 20. If you get a natural 20 on the strength check, the number goes twice in your chosen direction, and if you get a natural 1, it goes one opposite of your chosen direction.

I'm quite unlucky at the moment. In the space of 3 attacks (in one post) in one of my campaigns, there were 2 nat 1s and then this one
